This isn't about me, or at least should not be. The topic is a general one - is it ok to reject someone based on age without talking to them, WHEN THEY ARE THE SAME AGE AS YOU?
If anyone wants to comment on my personal life, just PM me.

Besides, I don’t freak out about your age. I just don’t see a reason to, or maybe I’m just unable to find one. No clue, But. From a man within the same age group as you are, consider this. You’re pretty much good for em as long as you’re within the twenty figure, or maybe even the single figures of the thirties. That is, as long as you don’t whine and cause trouble for no apparent reason.
That's great. In one year, I'll be 30. So once you hit the 3-something range, I guess you're screwed.
Even more unfair. Way more unfair.
Girls like me spent their 20's with their noses in books, volunteering, doing research and internships, working on their resumes to get somewhere in this dog eats dog world, and you boys should appreciate that because you're in the same world, and yet, the response I get on the rishta trail is...oh man, you're old. From someone my own age, at that!
No, TLK. I'm referring to Nikkie's comments not queer's. I can't see what queer writes.
My mums csn sis got married last month at the age of 38 to a guy who is 40.
First marriages for both.
Both highly educated...the lady is a professor at a Uni & her husband is a rich businessman.

So yeah one can get married even after 35:D
Pretty much what the lady said. Besides, the onus to make all the struggle count is eventually your responsibility. You could either give up and 'settle' - spend all your resources on finding flaws within the Pakistani man, or you could just devote it all on to scoring the right one. Choice be ultimately down for you to make. Just choose to do something that is different than what's been accomplished so far, perhaps.

i guess the complaint is that the 40 yr old married someone younger and not a 40 yr old woman.
No i don’t think rejecting someone solely on this reason is wise :nono: but then i also dnt think its ok to reject someone for their lack of fluency in english, for them being family oriented, a lil overweight, etc etc. However i still maintain that everyone has the right to want what they want and believe me its they themself who suffer if they put up unrealistic demands.

the man still married someone younger than him.......not equal or older.......this doesn't fit PCG's criteria of a right marriage..
Ziada bunnay key zaroorat nahi hay. Fobs with thick desi accents are working as CEOs , professors , CIOs , Managers , Bank Presidents etc etc in this country , if goray can understand what they are saying and give them those high positions , then it should not be difficult for an ABCD. I am sure you are used to this accent which is all around you because of having desi roots.
You’re apparently a “Pyari Si Guddia”. right? Now what precisely makes a Barbie title herself as a “Chakkar” and then follows it with a grass munching chimpanzee for an avatar?
