So here is a real story. Just happened 5 minutes ago.
Maybe I should cut and paste the conversation and post the imbecile’s photo here too while I’m at it.
But essentially, dude is 29, screams out that he’s really really lonely looking for a girl, etc etc, and how he’ll offer the world to her.

He writes back and says, sorry, I’m looking for someone younger. You’re too old for me.
Puh-lease. Explain this this BS to me, and please give me good reasons why I should not be angry at desis and desi-backwards mentality.

I am 29 yrs old fella as well..and frankly i am open to marry a woman same age as me. I have no issues personally. Infact i find women from mid 20s are more mature.
This isn't about me. Topic is - is it reasonable to reject someone because THEY'RE THE SAME AGE AS YOU.
Is it rational? Really?
No. But when it comes to getting married, a lot of stuff is decided on irrationally. I agree that a lot of desi guys would probably prefer to marry someone younger than them- most likely because of culture but not ALL. If this guy had seen you somewhere and approached with a rishta- THEN learned that you're same age as him, I wonder if his response would be different?
That's cuz in their brain, there is a huge gap of brain tissue - there is a khoklaa (emptiness) there. The brain knocks about too much, bruises itself, and then they can't think clearly OR maybe it's that their insecure moms raised them with this sort of nonsense, and why do I get the lovely feeling guac, you're gonna be one of those moms?
TLK, I should just go ahead and slice like half my body off , so that I'm automatically 2 or 3 dress sizes smaller, lie about my age like a lot of girls and say i'm 25 yrs old, cuz GOD KNOWS I look like I'm 22, and then lie about the fact that I have a career, and buy some roti's from the corner restaurant, and serve it to the boy and say I made those.
And then AFTER he marries me, maybe I can spill the beans tell him the real story, AFTER I've gotten him to impregnate me, and then if he dies out of shock, I'll just dig him a grave in the backyard and bury the poor SOB.
PCG: It is not practical for majority to select spouse of same age. I know one of my friend get married with a girl of one year older than his age. They both fell in love. Now his wife looks more amma but you know she is still his darling.
Well he can find that girl and feed her with a silver spoon himself, since I'm sure she wont have a clue on how to feed herself. Maybe he'll feel like a real man, because I can bet you he doesn't feel like a real man at his work place where he's made to bend over and take it from his boss, who I have a suspicion may be a woman. Nor does he feel any sense of manlihood at the mosque, because I doubt he goes, otherwise he would not be refusing to give a girl a chance to even TALK to him because of a number (I love how this guy's profile went on and on about Allah). And then I doubt he feels like a man in his own home he grew up, where prolly, he got his arse kicked around by all his cousins since I bet he was the puny stupid kid growing up.
So, yeh, maybe a ditzy 21 yr old with no education would do him good. You know, he can feel like DA MAN on the wedding night, and then spend the rest of his life getting butt raped by his wife as she spends his hard earned paycheck from where his female boss is also likely butt raping him as well, since he prolly doesn't even know how to do his job.
