The nation that died!

Islam teaches peace and respect for other cultures and opinions. We should have friendship with India and it is quite desirable. Maybe you are not far-sighted enough to realize that every Indian is always saying...wasn't Pakistan a mistake....therefore they want this mingling of cultures and impose their culture on us. A time will come when we would have forgotten our religion. Then will be time of reunification. Make a nation sleep and do whatever you want.

What you call entertainment, I call it behayai, immodesty. Do you know what haya is? Whether it is our films or theirs...both are against Islamic principles. Ask any person who has religious knowledge or even ask your own self.....would you like anyone related to you to be in films??? Would you like a poster of your sister or mother on the street like that? If its a Muslim film actress on th eposters (as we have today), we should be concerned, because thats not how a Muslim women should be----selling cheap on streets.

On one hand you are saying you like Indian actresses and on the other you are saying you feel Kashmiris pain. What a contradiction and hypocricy. Thats why my other thread said..Our nation died. Where is our ghiarat and where are our Islamic ideals?

I never talk of war, the word Islam itself means peace. But is that the reality? Has the Kashmir issue been solved? Has India started being more humane to Muslims? This is all an election drama. In reality do not even accept our existance. We want peace, but they have always wanted war -Kashmir, East Pakistan.....All we talk of is Islamic extremism, ...have you ever see the Hindu extremism? RSS, Babri masjid destruction....

Nothing is more important than sticking to your own identity and we truly have lost it!

retards..... i walked into spencers (NJ) the other day and saw a 9/11 poster right next to a poster of a dog and i didnt hear anyone go.. OH no!!!!!! look what message is that sending. They are treating our country like a dog.

PEOPLE... PEOPLE!!...please take ur thumb out of your back side and breathe properly. Thankyou.

Islamabad, can I suggest that you change your name to "Afghanistan", as your mentality suits you better with such a name. Islamabad happens to be my favorite city and everytime I see a topic from your name, you create a blunder and lots of fuss, I think your name is damaging such a great city as Islamabad.

Plus, I dont care what you think, what your political aims are, all I care is that you are ruining the name of my beautiful city with your political views.

My name has more of a meaning than the city itself. It is Islam abad , meaning where Islam is practiced and in full bloom. Thank for your advise. I also have one for you.

Please change your name from Saadia to something like Hilary or Jane…since Saadia was the name of a very respected personality - Haleema Saadia who took care of Prophet :saw: when he was young. So before telling others, think about yourself! If you do not like my views, don’t read them. Besides, you don’t own Islamabad…it is also my beloved city…and…it is the capital of ISLAMIC republic of Pakistan!

Man ISLAMABAD
you are such a cry baby. Why would she change her name to hilary. agar roona hai to dil khool kur roa…why blame other .

whatever ! I said what I wanted to say, rest is your own decision.

Pakistani actress, Meera to work in an Indian film. From an Arabic website:

Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, in his address at the famous Lahore session, eloquently described the Muslims’ identity, saying, **“We are a nation with our distinctive culture and civilization, language and literature, art and architecture, names and nomenclature, sense of value and proportion, legal laws and moral codes, customs and calendar, history and tradition, aptitudes and emotions. In short, we have our own distinctive outlook on life and of life. By all cannons of international law we are a nation.” **

we are one confused nation.

Maybe we should drop the islamic part and just call it republic of pakistan, no point kidding ourselves is there.

If we did that there would be no point to Pakistan’s existence, ‘Islamic’ is there to kid ourselves into justifying Pakistan’s creation.

Maybe we should really work towards making it Islamic, instead of dropping it.

agree.

Being an indian I can understand the feelings expressed in this topic. I'm moved by the some of opinions aired by members in this area. I guess there is this wrong picture painted about the conditions of indians and muslims in particular in the media in pakistan. Some of them are actually facts. But one should remember one thing, the problems faced by a muslim in india are no less different from an average indian. I guess the priorities would be respectable way to earn a living using best of one's skills, a good n caring family, good education of sons/daughters and social respect.

Compared to pakistan we have a larger proportion of college educated middle class in india. The problems faced every individual in this class is similar, irrespective of his/her religious affiliation. Unlike pakistan we are political experiment and we have bigger problems as a nation. Every indian dreams of a great future for this subcontinent and would like to share his/her dreams with everyone in this world at large. We would like to be as plural in our outlook as possible, learning every good and wise bit of knowledge from every culture in this world.

I share the opinion aired about bollywood. It's a bad influence and now that we are trying to make movies together. Pakistanis should help us add better values to the entertaintment industry. It worth pointing out here that 80-90% of the bollywood film industry is being managed by talented muslims in india. So i guess it would be great to see pakistani actors, actresses, directors, music directors and dance directors taking an active part in the movie making process.

Believe me an average indian is no different from an average pakistani. A liberalized and accomodative pakistani society that is based on sound islamic education would be great asset to this world at large.

I would like thank all pakistanis for extending the best mehman nawazi to all indians that visited pakistan last month. Hope none were devils with "two horns on their head ".

Aakir hum itney bure bee nahin hain. together let's make our life prosperous and meaningful.

:frowning: sorry situation for us

:insha: we will succeed, but if there is unity btwn us, the ongoing conflict btwn muslim sects is not one-bit helping pakistan. first we need to stop fighting each other, and unite as a nation, an islamic nation :frowning:
