ur mom's preparation is called "meethii roTii" in our area and its made a lil differently. we completely dry the chapatis over 2-3 day periods that makes it like papaR then break into small pieces [triangular in shape like that of the nachos]. thoRaa ghee meN ilaichii ke daane Daal kar tal lete ahiN uske bad chapaati ke TukRe Daal kar us men paanii Daal kar pakaa lete haiN until it gets thick in consistency. we used to eat with doodh and malaaii :) yummy
r u originally from uttar pradesh in india? i meant ur fore fathers came from india?**
lehsan ( not sure about the exact name of the dish, but thats what we call it. Its made of borken baajray ki rotiyaan and hara lehsan and eaten with plain yoghurt or baigan ka bhurta - its a winter speciality)
I'm into the bagel with cream cheese topped with baked beans and egg salad these days. Sooooooooooooo good! Yummy! I think this is English? Although I could be totally wrong.

These days I'm into the Panera breakfast sandwiches: scrambled egg and Vermont cheddar cheese in toasted ciabatta bread. I add a few dashes of hot sauce and a little bit of mango chutney to give it a more spicy and tangy taste. YUM!!!! Have em on the weekends sometimes. I like quice as well.
Oh and I remember when we used to live KSA.....sometimes on the weekends my dad would bring these zaatar rolls. Oh they were sooooooooo good. They were pretty thick.....but the zaater was rolled up with diced tomatoes, olives, and mint leaves. Savoury and refreshing with the mint leaves.
