***For over thirty years the computer mouse ruled over the kingdom of computer navigation. Despite losing its rubber ball and cord over the years, the peripheral lived a long, full life of being pushed across desks and tables getting the cursor where it needed to go. Re: The mouse ain’t dead…yet: five of the best mice reviewed
Cant operate my computer without one. I’ve used touch pads, those mini joysticks in the middle of keyboards (whatever they are called), 3D track balls, stylus, fingers on touch screen .. but after a regular QWERTY keybord, mouse gotta to be the best input peripheral ever.
I doubt if mice are going to leave the scene anytime soon. As long as keyboard is there, mouse will be there to compliment it. I am not sure if productivity suites (like MS Office) can be handled solely through a touch screen input. Try to put together a 250 rows, 72 columns spread sheet on IPAD and one will realize how important mouse and keyboard are.
