There is nothing wrong when you offer to get someone food. But I only have an hour lunch break, and if I am not offering to get his lunch, than I obviously have something to do. I have errands to run, I work Mon-Fri 8-5, so I have to fit a lot into an hour that I cannot do after hours. Such as, go to the bank, pick up medications, get an oil change, etc. That shouldn’t even HAVE to be explained to anyone. If I am not offering to pick up food that doesn’t make me a prissy princess, that’s my choice. All the reasons stated are a damn good. Therefore he has no right to force me to bring him and the rest of the team lunch because he’s too lazy to get up off his a and get his own damn lunch on his on damn lunch break. GET IT? I believe I also mentioned that he does not follow the proper process, procedure, and guidelines that have been set for our team. He will send me something and leave out the mandatory information, and I have to request it from him each and every single time. It is not my job to babysit his work, say hi to him 50 times a day, and go get his lunch.
Next time you call someone a prissy princess learn to READ, and than think about what to say before you type it.
This is what you need to say to him instead of online. He knows you wont say boo to a ghost, so he is making the most of it. You need to stand up for yourself and speak your mind. Speak to other colleagues about it and get their support /adivice…and just ignore his extra hellos and interruptions, pointedly. He’ll get the message sooner or later.
and if he isnt following the policy then, you need to speak to him once, then speak to you manager.
