The best airport has to be Islamabad. The moment I cleared security and sat in the departure lounge around 3 AM, the waiter in uniform came by my seat and asked if I would like a cup of tea. Now where in the world you get such service?
Also, when you land there it is so refreshing to step out of the plane and smell the fresh air on the tarmac, down the flight of mobile stairs and onto the long bus.
And as soon as you walk out of the terminal, half of Pakistan is there to offer help. I get so over whelmed with this wonderful gesture of hospitality.
My experience is a bit out-dated as I haven't been to PK in about a decade.
The worst airport has to be Atlanta where you have to go through security even for transfers. I think they have been working on it lately.
I also love Abu Dhabi airport as it is the only airport where I ate paratha and omelet breakfast. I think it was Abu Dhabi. It could very well be Bahrain or Dubai. I don't remember. This food court was next to a large window space where you could see the outside of gates, etc.

Abu Dhabi airport is the most depressing place in the world. with the green palm thing.
You feel like punching a random south indian soon as u get off.
My favourite has to be Hong Kong. Minneapolis airport isnt too bad despite the risk of republican politicians hitting on u inside bathroom stalls.

Just to add the most beautiful airport I have ever been to is Salt Lake City in Utah. You can see mountains all around the airport from inside of any terminal.

Newark isnt all that great if u are one of those unlucky people who are "Special Registration" and need an exit interview. No signs posted anywhere, all the TSA people didnt even know that there was something called special registration and kept insisting I should just go through which would have meant no more amreeki visas for me. I eventually found the room on a random terminal marked only by an A4 paper inside a corridor. Idiots.

Islamabad airport …
the worst ever .. the staff, the place, the customs … oh my god … I have travelled twice through Islamabad airport… the first time , I fainted , due to congestion and long que… when i woke up they told me they didnt have an ambulance 
I was lying on the side chairs .. and crowd of dirty looking men staring at me !!!
The second time , I flew with hubby and found the airport totally disgusting … the staff were smoking nonstop… the place was so congested …:hinna:

It has to be Lahore airport, They have most batameez people hired for custom, Last time I remember a man asked me to epen my hand carry luggage and I dont think they are meant to do it after screening everything, I said I m not opening it and he goes to me so rudely “iss me kia hai jo TU dikhana nahi chahti”
He was so batameez tht I said there is no way in the hell i m opening it, Thank God for my uncle who was a protocol officer tht time came to rescue

erm ... yeah lahore aint alot better either .. perhaps just a tiny bit better then islamabad .... but yeah i met with some of the most gross airport staff on pakistani airports !

The best Airport ,I consider is,Changi (Singapore).
I believe this `annoying part' can be personal.No airport is made in this world,meant to annoy passengers.

The worst airport I have ever traveled through in my life, is the Domestic Terminal of Jeddah. Even their international terminal is not very good, but the domestic one is pathetic beyond belief.
