Re: The most aesthetically pleasing batsman that you have seen
Gundappa Vishwanath - one of the most stylish batsmen to have played the game (and a rare sporting figure). His square cuts, leg glances, square drives, cover drives were exquisite.
Re: The most aesthetically pleasing batsman that you have seen
Why isn’t Saeed Anwar included in the list? :hmmm:Left-handed batsman are, in my opinion, a tad more stylish and elegant than right-handed ones. And Pakistan hasn’t produced a more stylish leftie than this guy. Sublime fours and wrist-y sixes, he had them all. Take a look:
Having said that, in the above list, it’s hard to ignore titans like Viv Richards, Lara, and Aravinda DeSilva. All three of them immense batsman, and out of these three Lara was consistently the most stylish. Richards the most destructive, and DeSilva a maestro.

Re: The most aesthetically pleasing batsman that you have seen
Sunil Gavaskar in his early years, when he was a free stroking batsman, before the weight of having to bat through the innings tempered his stroke play. His straight drives were simply out of this world - perfect technique. Cover drives copy book. And his hooks off the fast bowlers were awesome, he was able to get on top of the ball and hit it along the ground, or hit it for a six. He had all the strokes in the book, and with perfect technique, excellent follow through. They dont bat like that nowadays - with all kinds of strange strokes thrown in.
Re: The most aesthetically pleasing batsman that you have seen
Sunil's str8 drives were amazing. I would sit and watch him play test matches just for his st8 drives. One other guy that people usually miss is Aravinda DeSilva. He was amazing.
But for me when it comes to Aesthetically pleasing , David Gower was the best followed by Sachin and Lara.
Re: The most aesthetically pleasing batsman that you have seen
it would be sachin of 90s played some of the best strokes in cricket,i don't think many batsmen can play those kind of shots, bradman himself was fan of his said sachin played similar to him
