You also forget that women only get half the inheritance of the man. As they are expected not to be the sole bread provider like men. So men in islam also have lots of rights.

I knew this before and condone it. I don't see it as an issue as alot of women who make money love to spend money on their children and spouse. I have rarely seen women who don't and often in times of trouble they contribute to the house with their wages.

furthermore......if the wife does not fulfill her obligations to her husband then the consequences are quite clearly laid out.....none of them include taking from her earnings.

I can only talk from a British perspective. As far inheritance goes, over here it's equal. Again, I can't speak for Islamic countries - I'm London born and bred.

I can only imagine that it would be equal in the absence of a duly executed will.
If there is a will then most muslims will adhere to the Islamic ratios and prescribe as such.

Same here. But parents can write a will and share the inheritance specifically.

My dad's started transferring assets in to mine and brothers names - he'll give some to my one and only sis, but she'll get it on the 2:1 Islamic ratio - as my dad puts it, he doesn't want his future son in law's progeny to get a free meal at the expense of his own blood (his son's kids).
His reasoning - you know how asian parents love boys, well, my dhadi was the opposite and loved girls and preferred her girls children to her sons children. So in my house, we are pro male and anti female based on this experience. It's good to be a boy in my family from an inheritance perspective. Let the flaming begin!

Thats really good my parents a sharing it equally which is also good but not islamic. Nothing wrong with what your dads doing.

My sister would have got it equally had it not been for the actions and entitled nature of my narcissistic dhadhi and phuppos - as such, we hate girls and are quite open about it as a family. Trouble is, my sis is paying for my granny and co's sins/behavior.

Once you inherit it you can share it. You look out for each other in the future everything has a solution.

She has the same genes as my dhaddi and phuppos - she isn't like them in anyway, but, genetic disposition will always remain. Reason enough if you ask me.

Don't you have their genetics as well. You need to be very careful when thinking like this, it can be dangerous. You can get high thinking like this , but also fall far.

Very true, however the boys on my dads side of the family are well rounded fellows. Women on the hand, well, they're sirens. Gorgeous on the outside but rotten on the inside.

I understand where you are coming from as i live in a similar situation. But you need to look out for each other and help teach each other; change them from being rotten. I'm sure you will do the right thing though.
