My dad’s started transferring assets in to mine and brothers names - he’ll give some to my one and only sis, but she’ll get it on the 2:1 Islamic ratio - as my dad puts it, he doesn’t want his future son in law’s progeny to get a free meal at the expense of his own blood (his son’s kids).
His reasoning - you know how asian parents love boys, well, my dhadi was the opposite and loved girls and preferred her girls children to her sons children. So in my house, we are pro male and anti female based on this experience. It’s good to be a boy in my family from an inheritance perspective. Let the flaming begin!
