I can only talk from a British perspective. As far inheritance goes, over here it’s equal. Again, I can’t speak for Islamic countries - I’m London born and bred.

I can only imagine that it would be equal in the absence of a duly executed will.
If there is a will then most muslims will adhere to the Islamic ratios and prescribe as such.
