The Menu ...

Re: The Menu ...

Recently we just went to another dawat their menu was also well balanced.

They had

Boneless chicken biryani
Gosht karahi
Seekh kabobs (w/ mint chutney)
Naan
Chicken Chow mein
Pasta salad
Dahi bharay

for dessert they served ras malai.

Spiral and Tabu, sorry , I saw your comments just now , my oven is electric. I baked the chicken pieces first .. then I just lightly grilled the vege's in the oven grill mode ... and finally I inserted them in the skewers just before serving ...

Re: The Menu ...

Ahhh...we went to a pklora party last summer too.Very similar menu to yours CB,only there were anda and qeema pakoras too.Lucky there were some other bits n bobs otherwise very unhealthy I must say...but yummy :)

Re: The Menu …

Keema pakora? anda pakora ? :hayaa: … how were they made?

yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :yummy:

yeahh…keema pakora recipe plz…

the andas were hard boiled and cut in two…and the qeema ones were cooked qeema mixed with besan.Ammi makes these in Ramzan sometimes. You just make the qeema in a bit of oil…no onions… adrak/lasan,haldi,pissa zeera, lal mirch, and a pinch of garam masala/black pepper, hara dhaniya.bhoon well and cool. Then just mix into your usual besam mixture. If the qeema is a bit chatpatta, they are well tasty. In fact I sometimes make them if I have left over bhoon qeema…works well that way too.You should try them…they are really nice

Thats so cute, never heard of a pakora party before!

That sounds fabulous!

Omg, how cute! I have heard of them but never been to one…maybe I will do this for my next get together!

Re: The Menu …
