How many times in a week you consume meat or meat products?
I eat it everyday…I’m trying to limit myself to only twice a week. So any meat-lovers who’ve done this?
Any tips on how to come over this addiction easily?

Re: The Meat Addiction
1-2 times a week..
Re: The Meat Addiction
Maybe you can start with using the same gravy for the dish, but instead of meat, add vegetables, paneer, or tofu? Then slowly move to adding more and more vegetables.
There is another great (and in my opinion waaay better than tofu) meat substitute called seitan. It has a texture just like meat and all the protein content of meat. It’s made from wheat protein. It’s low fat, and verry versatile - I used minced seitan for making veggie kheema. It turned out great! You can also cut it up and use the cubes like you’d use chicken pieces. Only drawback is that seitan isn’t available in regular grocery stores - I get it from Whole Foods.

Rejoice !
New research suggests that meat and fat are not the enemy. Carbohydrates and processed sugars are.
Lay off rotis, parathas, chaawal, aaloo, pastas and pizzas and substitute lots of vegetables for them.
And substitute fruit for miThai, chocolate and desserts.
Thankfully..not a meat addict. Once or twice a week for me. I love vegetables though.
Re: The Meat Addiction
thrice a week almost
Re: The Meat Addiction
about 3 times a week...rest of the days are vegetarian or fish..maybe shrimp once or twice a month

Are you going to tell us now, why ?
Re: The Meat Addiction
^ Why is that Waleed?
We eat meat 3 times a week. (white meat twice/thrice a week & red meat every alternate week) Fish twice a week & one day each are designated for some sort of daal & one day for vegetable.
Until unless its a meat day & I am adding vegetables to meat dish, I don't ever mix meat with daals or vegetables. If anyone wants achaar to finish their meal they can have that but no meat whatsoever.
If you want to cut down on your meat try making vegetables & lentils/beans with different recipes. Spruce them up a bit. If they are tasty enough you won't miss your meat.
Also depending on what kind of cut you are getting. Meat can be a great source of protein.

Cant find halal chicken at all where I moved :(
Re: The Meat Addiction
1-2 times a week, mostly white meat.
I eat meat only once a week, steak or roast. Rest of the time I dont eat meat, just chicken, fish, lamb and turkey etc.
I also tend to go vegetarian sometimes and just eat aloo gosht, palak gosht, timatar gosht etc

Yeah...I think I can stick to this diet.

Aloo doesn’t really count as a vegetable. ![]()

Did you move to the Naarth Pole ?
Can you find kosher meat ?
If not, do as the Arabs do. Just say 'Bismillah' on the meat that your Christian brothers have prepared and eat it.
