If you could select like 5 adjectives to describe the Pakistani woman of today, what would they be?
Is "full of it" an adjective?
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
She said Pakistani woman, not women in general. You have to be more specific than "full of it".
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
- She lives in a pind but speaks English with a British+American+Canadian+Swedish accent, and has trouble with urdu.
- She was born in jeans designed by Baby Phat.
- She doesn't know or care to know who the founding fathers of Pakistan were.
- She needs a maid for pretty much all personal tasks.
More later.
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
She wants all the designer stuff, From Sana Safinas to LV satchels. . . .
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman

may be I am wrong at some points, let´s see what others think
Thinks she is aiswariya rai...but isn't.
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
chain smoker with terrible fashion sense
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
Are we talking about Pakistani women over here?
Cause from where I'm at, I see a very different version of her.
1) Oppressed
Can't think of more right now.
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
Has an MBA in English language and literature but tawks lyk dissssssssssssssss
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
^ Don't think you can get an MBA in English language and literature.
MBA=Masters of Business Administration
Re: The “Mahdern” Pakistani Woman
Sara, are you a mahdern Pakistani woman then?
Re: The “Mahdern” Pakistani Woman
^ I think she is being sarcastic about the knowledge factor!!! NOT MBA in English for real..
Re: The “Mahdern” Pakistani Woman
you caught me.
I actually DO know people who have MBA and MA in english/lit and still sound like they’ve never uttered a word of english in their life.
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
^ Haha, not really.
Everyone didn't grow up where up grew up princess, hence everyone doesn't have an accent like your's.
Though you'd have the right to question their MA in English if they used bad grammar while writing.
Speaking a language fluently and with a native accent isn't something they teach you in your MA.
Re: The “Mahdern” Pakistani Woman
in a constant struggle to show themselves off as liberal and independent
on the other hand, too much negativity in this thread. not ALL pakistani women are designer lawn and pasted labels individuals. Some are generally hardworking and well educated
pretty definitely
and oh I think pakistani women have a great fashion sense (not biased here) obviously because all the latest trends and clothes are easily accessible to them ![]()
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
Saeed thats the only thing I was referring to-the grammar and way of writing, NOT the accent of a person.
So yes I do question the quality of education where if you claim to have a higher degree you still write lyk dixxxx
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
^ I apologize then, my bad for being condescending.
The education system over here does need fixing, there's no disagreeing with that. The language should be taught properly, because your understanding of all other subject in school depends on that very language.
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
No problem I see how my comment may have been taken that way. From my understanding of it, they operate on the "ratta" system (I hope that's the right word)..they only study and memorize but don't put it to practical use.
Re: The "Mahdern" Pakistani Woman
And FWIW it's not just Pakistan...I've seen some awful writing/grammar from people who grew up here in the US...
