I don’t know about the states but in Canada it would be quite a mission to install because you have to install controllers/mixers for both hot and cold water so your butt doesn’t get blasted with ice. I’d love a muslim shower in my house but its just never been practical to install, if I were building my own home I’d consider having it installed from the start. The other issue is also potential leakage from the muslim shower, especially since bathrooms in canada don’t have drains, even a small puddle can eat through the drywall and compromise your first floor ceiling.
We use actual lotas, I don’t like bidets, I don’t like the concept of getting up and moving to another toilet seat without cleaning up. Increases the chance of things dripping on the floor. Plus you can’t flush bidets.
