watering can. I hate the regular desi lota, but while shopping for my apt I couldn’t find a proper watering can (they were all too gigantic outdoors ones). so the lota had to do ![]()

Re: The Lota thread
ok so where do i begin from
…
I always had a stack of empty milk bottles ( small ones) cleaned properly, dried and kept in the toilet.. would change bottles every few weeks .. and specially when the guests came ..
Then it got replaced by a large plastic glass ( the large party glasses ) but guests complained it slipped out of their hands !
So I replaced it with a large measuring cup ( the one that comes with a handle )
and just recently someone visited me from the Middle east , on their way back they left behind their wash jug and till date that is being used :hinna:

Re: The Lota thread
Because non muslims dont have the concept of tiharat that we have, they think water makes toilets dirty and they compromise on their cleanliness for this yukh:disgust:
I use a water gun.
Re: The Lota thread
I don’t know about the states but in Canada it would be quite a mission to install because you have to install controllers/mixers for both hot and cold water so your butt doesn’t get blasted with ice. I’d love a muslim shower in my house but its just never been practical to install, if I were building my own home I’d consider having it installed from the start. The other issue is also potential leakage from the muslim shower, especially since bathrooms in canada don’t have drains, even a small puddle can eat through the drywall and compromise your first floor ceiling.
We use actual lotas, I don’t like bidets, I don’t like the concept of getting up and moving to another toilet seat without cleaning up. Increases the chance of things dripping on the floor. Plus you can’t flush bidets.
You lot seriously need to look at toilets with built in bidets or aftermarket toilet seats with built in bidet. Toto, Brundell and Kohler all make em plus others.

Re: The Lota thread
Do people really wash their bums in normal bidets?
Isn’t it a bit uncomfortable?
Why? do sharp ice cubes come out of a bidet?
Re: The Lota thread
I should’ve mentioned this in my blog. I am loving that there are Muslim showers installed everywhere here.
I seriously don’t understand why the western world doesn’t consider this a part of daily hygiene.
If you use it properly none of your fears will come true. Two step process, use toilet paper first, and then use bidet to finish off. Don’t just use a stand alone bidet like a Lota.
Or get a bidet that’s built into the toilet itself, or in an aftermarket bidet featuring toilet seat.
TLK now has a justification for his wall humping hobby.
