Interesting. I have another question, how do dramas go about depicting such behaviours? Is it actually shown or more implied? I have the feeling that the issue people have with foreign dramas is that they actually depict, often in rather explicit detail, the taboo behaviours their dealing with, rather than implying them and letting the viewer draw their own conclusions.

From what little dramas I’ve seen, most of the stuff is implied. And because it’s implied in such a subtle way to me, most of the references fly over my head. But if I am to discuss that with someone else they seem to get it all, and even then some. =/
