Who has read this book by Khaled Hosseini??? If you have, what do you think of it???

An awesome book it is. I had a list of the books I love the most. But The Kite Runner is beyond that. I had actually lost the faith in love, sincere and giving one, the book atleast reinstated my faith. Loved it.

I have heard alot about that book but haven't read it yet. Perhaps will read it soon.

ive read it. i enjoyed it, it was "cant put it down" sorta book.
has anyone read his second book, A Thousand Splendid Suns? its grim, really sad and more so than The Kite Runner, which is tragic, but in a comp diff way.
I have read both, they are both very good and depressing :(

I do not think thats true. The work is genuine. Maybe your friend had her own reservations. Wrong image or right, the book is good anyway. It touches one's heart deep.
I think its a fantastic book. I really want to watch the movie but scared it may not be up to my expectations and i dont wana ruin it.
But the The Thousand Splendid Suns is 10x better, my personal opinion!!
Both are must reads if you've not read them already.

The Kite runner is AMAZING!
DO NOT watch the film, its does not do its justice at all.
Khaled Hosseni's 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' is also amazing, would definately recommend both books.

The way appraisels have been thrown for Thousand splendid suns, I believe its a must read too. The movie? ummm 
The book is good nevertheless, depressing or whatever. It tells that some genuine feelings and sentiments still exist. Imagine!

Book is excellent, def recommend it to anyone, its very descriptive in detail. Film's a waste of time, nothing like the book.
