Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

AAHH!
Lucky you. Will have to wait until 26th of Dec. =(
Amazon gave me false info and said it was going to release sometime in Nov. =@

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

yea it was but i think they changed the release date..i heard rumors it was because they wanted the child actor in the movie to get out of afghanistan before it was released otherwise all the mullahs would be after him for doing that one scene..

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

I watched the movie tonight, met some of the cast as well.

Would love to read everyones reviews, maybe with less smilies.

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

^ oo hi. bite me. =]

The movie was amazing. Everything was just as I thought it would be from reading the book. I must say that I did like the beginning of the movie better than the end. The acting was okay. I heard the filming was done in China for the parts where the setting is in Afghanistan. I'm not sure how people who haven't read the book would like it, but overall I would give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. It was so worth watching in theaters.

belle - You met the cast?! :O Where did you see it?

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

who did you meet belle?

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

Khaled Hosseini lives in San Jose, CA?

Thats so cool!

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

btw one of the characters in the movie (the antagonist) was like really cute. he was part of the taliban.

his eyes are gorgeous. =]

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

I just cannot wait for the movie. This novel was just splendid.

People who have experienced both the novel and the movie are encouraged to share their opinion.

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

A lot of the dialogue was taken straight from the book. The acting was very much as the author had portrayed it in the book. And the little Afghani bachay in the movie were sooooo cute!! =)

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

the book made me sick - I dont know if I can stand to watch it.
Its pretty harsh

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

The part in the soccer stadium was just awful. :( I really wanted to cry. It's different actually seeing it than reading it in the book.

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

^^ yup -
i can only imagine.

I dont think I'll watch it

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

hmmm!! interesting book. cans ome tell us a lil bit about it :)

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

no no it’s just that one part!

you HAVE to watch it!

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

I loved the book - now can't wait for the movie.
so did the kid got outta afghanistan or no?

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

I dunno. It's being released in theaters on Dec. 26 regardless. :D

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

I really cant wait for this movie to be released..I haven't actually read the book (dont have the time atm) but my sister told me the jist of it... I think books are way much better than movies in general, now is it worth reading the book before watching the movie?

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

^ Yep it is. Trust me you wont repent spending your time reading it.

Re: The Kite Runner (movie)

Dialogues are the highlight of the book so it will be really interesting how they sound in the movie.

‘For you, a thousand times over!’ :teary1:
