Stable Pakistan not in India’s interest | Indian Defence Review

the original version!! for non urdu readers! i heard this verma man on a live phone in a talk show, he was very politely putting his views in very moderate way!!

Re: The Indian Message

his conclusions are bad but what he said about Pakistan's big plan for India is almost true, this writing took long time coming, it is a late angry outburst, the Indian public almost forgot about Pakistan till 26/11 happened,

Re: The Indian Message

Indians Never FORGOT Pakistan, 26/11 was staged as trailer of new Film... which is going to be released soon...

PS: Pakistan is/was in no position to stage such incidents...

Re: The Indian Message

^ya you are right, trailer was shown by Paki terrorists in India but they released full movie in Pakistan, isn't it? :p

Re: The Indian Message

cant read urdu lolz

Re: The Indian Message

i can never understand people who scream india means no harm. india is trying damnest best to be the hegmon in the region. lets take pakistan out of equation and see how wonderful their foreign relations are with the other neighbours. there is a reason china supports pakistan and that is to balance the power in the region. y would they do that if india was flying white peace pigeons all over the region?

For all you know 26/11 never happened. It was pure media hype.

Pakistan is a peaceful country and its citizens love harmony. Taliban is a figment of imagination...

Re: The Indian Message

^^

Taliban is gift from our NEIGHBOURs... hope we'll return the favor in traditional manner...

26/11 is nothing more than a new season's episode, of bombing/shooting at Parliament House - New Dehli, 2002... again poorly directed and written by Indian SPY agencies...

What can one say ...

I find it HYSTERICAL that you would think we would attack our own Parliament, our train networks or for that matter the working class backbone of our economy merely to get in a tiff with you we have no intention of getting in the first place. Do you think the Indian polity is so absurd as to not know the limitations of its present capabilities of war or the attenuating impacts to its economy? Conspiracy theories aside, before you allude to the Samjhauta express bombing and Col. Purohit, do yourself a favor and look at the history of attacks sponsored by your intelligence agency: the ISI, acknowledged by the European Parliament itself, in what you aptly refer to as “traditional manner”.

The Taliban is your baby. Deal with the sh*t.

Oh 26/11 is real alright. If you’ve never lost a loved one or a close family friend or relative in an act of terrorism, you will always find yourself desensitized to these acts sitting behind the relatively safe confines of your computer. I find uncharitable comments like this very saddening. You are not willing to entertain speculation or animadversion on your army, or the loss of life in your country, yet are willing to cast frivolous aspersions on the loss of life in another.

Stable Pakistan not in India’s interest | Indian Defence Review

Ruzaan, leave comments on comments aside! whats your take on this article?

Shak killS, are you going to hold me accountable for the words of a singular defence analyst?

Shall I also hold you accountable for Zia’s policy of “a thousand cuts”? Know what grounds you’re treading on here.

However, “comments on comments aside”, If I was to look purely for the strategic and geopolitical interests of my country, and given the assumption that Pakistan is a regional rival, I’d say yes, an entirely stable Pakistan is not in my country’s interest. This judgment would ofcourse be tempered by the realization that an entirely unstable Pakistan is not in my interest either.

I would expect the same from your strategic thinkers and decision-makers. Anything short of that would be considered incompetent or mental lassitude.

As a layman however, tired of the constant proxy-warring between our two nations, and seeking the best for my family in terms of security and welfare, I would want both countries to cease and desist. You are no angels, and we aren’t either. But if we want to make the subcontinent anything better than the ticking human time-bomb that it is, and lift the millions out of poverty in your country and mine, then a stable Pakistan and India are in each others’ interests.

Re: The Indian Message

no I am not holding you accountable for bharat verma at all.

Thanks, i like your comments about the article above. mature and good analysis.

Re: The Indian Message

this baharat werma dude is sure on crack, no doubt we have differences with in pakistan but if india did some thing stupid they will be giving us a reason to unite against them. I say, do us that favour. . .come on! :bummer:

the way he talks feels if pakistani muslims only live in punjab and all of them work for ISI and rest the pakistan is dieng to get rid of punjab.

dream on :sunnyboy:

and i find HYSTERICAL that any one would think that pakistan/ISI knowing the circumstances we are in, knowing the west and india etc are just looking for chance to declare pakistan a terrorist state and rub it from the face of the earth, would send ppl in india and attack ur parliament and your hotels and your train stations to achieve literally nothing and give the whole world a reason to point fingers on us. What a joke!

I dont blame the whole indian govt or masses but there are likes of bharat verma who cant see a stable pakistan or should i say they want to get rid of altogether as mentioned in the article.

there there, 26/11 was real and yes lots of innocent ppl lost their lives.

bunt dont u tell us how it feels, we have lost many times more loved ones and police/Army personnel in just last 2 years by ur sponsored so called 'Talibans'

If talibans wanted to do this sh*t they would have done bladdy good job when they were in power, not now when there are hardly any talibans left.

Re: The Indian Message

and the tragic death of **the investigator during mumbai attacks

**that investigator found ppl from their own(Col. Purohit ) involved in express bomb blast and he got killed immediately after. Now that is not a conspiracy theory. That all actually happened and documented in many of your own media .. . .lol

ATS links Lt Col Purohit with Samjhauta blasts

Re: The Indian Message

Mumbai terrorists immediately find their targets by killing Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) leaders [Hemant Karakare, CP Ashok Kamthe & Vijay Salskar) in the first 15 minutes of the attacks. Karakare was wearing a bullet proof jacket. He was fired right on his neck! He was in a crowded place, so it was not easy to find and identify him. How they got so much information? Why they targeted him? How and why they so specific the clearly chose ATS leaders? And the terrorists immediately ran away? Making Karkare’s murder a puzzle that can’t be solved? ATS was investigating BJP involvement in terrorism, Colonel Prohait , Samjhoota Express Blasts, etc.

he timing of Mumbai terror is well planned, just before Indian state elections! So who will reap the benefit? Lashkar-e-Taiba or BJP? If ISI did it, then they must be stupid. And they are not.
