I have lots of unstiched kapra, what should I get made out of it? I want a patialla shalwar, but isnt that getting old now? Whats in? What should I def not get? I am probably gonna wear it in october or november, so its not like I am gonna have to keep it for a while and they are not that expensive where i need them to last long.
umm DO NOT get those bell bottom pajamas with short kameez that have huge painches (shalwar hem) they hardly suit any body type.
my absolute fav are those narrow shalwars with narrow painches and knee length kameezes you cant go wrong with it. get V neck or round neck to make shoulders look smaller. and a good fit.
also straight/narrow pants with knee length kamizes are cool. keep the length of the pants long enuf to end at the bottom of the heel if u wear high heels to prevent it from looking fobbish and please dont wear chunky platforms with it.
Rizwan Beyg has these really nice trousers that have really light "ghers" at the side of the shalwar...i think its called a cowled shalwar...and the paincha is really narrow and cuts off right on top of the ankle...it looks really cute with a short shirt. I will try to find you pics.
If you can speak to him in his native language fluently or hav an exact photograph of wat u want, then no dont worry. If not, then ull hav urself another darzi horror story :D
narrow pounchais are out.. I jsut got back from Lahore a few weeks ago.
the poinchais are now 7 inches thayar..
and the kameezes are shorter..
Let me give you an idea that I thought was totally hawwwwtt..
Make the belt of your shalwar out of lace... obviously put kapra under it but make sure the lace is visible... then make your chalks (kameez key) a bit bigger then usual and
the ghaira of the kameez an inch smaller then normal from each side.
Basically --- this is the In design for Shalwar kameez in Lahore right now.
Dont know about Karachi..
Hein?? I like those nicely tapered salwars i dont want those big fluffy patiala salwars Last time i went, i wore thoselong kurtas and salwars and i hated it but thas wat they had made for me, coz the yr before that, i hated the short kurtas…
I didn't like hte idea of patyala BUT You know depending on how the patyala is made it can look nice...
I saw a hindi film with a girl wearing georgette type fabric, light colored kameez, cut short and a light patyala shilwar....it looked really really nice..
my friend was karachi was saying that tye dye print is in..similiar to the pic above....i like short kameezes, but with a normal shalwar..patiala's are nice....but u shoudl be tall and have nice legs (not thunder thighs like me...;) )....
i dont really like the tight ponchai..makes the feet look huge (i have kothai di pair...i think i said it right..)..those poncho type kameez are in..but i dont think it will last long...i woudl get somethign u could at least wear next year and still be instyle...go for the short kameez and plain shalwar....i cant stand trousers now...well..hmm..if i had the legs, i would like them..all depends..but i liek the boot cut ones...not the straight down ones....
so as u can tell...im SO picky with clothes....
as for colours...magenta is still in...now so is fuscia (sort of a shocking pink).
one thing that is never out of style is embroidary...so get some nice embroidary...with beads and stuff ( i love that)...
post some pics with u get ur clothes made..i would lvoe to see!
T/J .. its not gross at all..
its really cute..
the girls who are complaining about not having shape.. wont have that complaint anymore..
unfortunately.. I havent had a shalwar with lace made yet so I dont have a pic..
but I do have a new shape shalwar w/o the lace.. will take pics of that..
i dunno about the lace thing...it seems to me the whole point is like trying to show that a chick is wearing a lacy slip or nighty underneath her kameez..know what i mean? maybe if i see a pic it would make sense....
