The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail [merged]

Hehe! So maybe here is what friend rocking vibes was talking about.

That the ISI blackmailed 3 Supreme Court judges in September (when Gen Kayani now VCOAS the Lt Gen was DG ISI).

I can almost hear alot of ‘Oh my God what an evil thing to do. using blackmail…’

But wait!
take a look at the story.

** SOME of Pakistan’s Supreme Court judges and their children were secretly filmed in compromising positions with lovers and prostitutes as part of a dirty tricks campaign by the country’s feared military intelligence.**

** Videos were sent out to at least three of the 11 judges in September as they were deciding whether General Pervez Musharraf was eligible to run for president while still army chief. One showed a judge with his young mistress while another was of a judge’s daughter having sex with a boyfriend.**
“The message was clear,” said a British barrister who was told about the tapes by a Pakistani counterpart. “If you rule the wrong way, these will become public and your family destroyed.”
The judges then gave an ambiguous ruling, allowing Musharraf to be elected but declaring that they would decide on his eligibility later.
It was a fear that this ruling, due last week, would go against him that led Musharraf to declare the state of emergency that has plunged the country into crisis.
Although Musharraf claimed he had acted to prevent extremists taking over the country, the judiciary appears to have been his principal target.
No jihadi leaders have been arrested but he sacked Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, the chief justice, and eight of the 11 Supreme Court judges and scrapped the constitution.
Since declaring the state of emergency last weekend, Musharraf has placed most of the country’s top judges and human rights activists under house arrest. Lawyers have so far led most of the protest rallies and hundreds have been arrested. The sacked judges have been replaced by others who swore an oath of allegiance to Musharraf.
According to western diplomats, it was Musharraf’s intelligence chiefs who talked him into the desperate measure by convincing him that the Supreme Court was about to overturn his reelection as president. But it might have been false information.
Rana Bhagwandas, a Supreme Court justice who is under house arrest in the judges’ colony in Islamabad, said his colleagues had not reached a verdict. Others claim the judges were poised to confirm Musharraf’s election by a narrow margin, fearing the instability that would be created by a ruling against him. One retired general said he had been told that the judges were 6-5 in favour of upholding Musharraf’s reelection.
The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) service has been reeling from Supreme Court rulings this year which have exposed illegal operations such as the kidnapping of Baloch nationalists and the detention and torture of terrorist suspects in secret jails.
** According to government and Supreme Court sources, hidden cameras continued to be used to compile compromising evidence against judges until a few weeks before the emergency was declared. **
** The family of a woman who was having an affair with a Supreme Court judge said they were devastated to learn that her trysts had been filmed. **
** According to judicial sources, several judges had been receiving visits from prostitutes as “payment in kind” from private clients to whom they had given legal advice. “The ISI was sending the girls and the judges were enjoying it without knowing they were being filmed. Now they have videos of several judges,” one court source said last week.**
The chief justice himself was the subject of a separate ISI smear campaign during the government’s attempt to have him dismissed in March. Among the affidavits claiming he had used his influence to help his son get a plum government job was an anonymous letter which implied a sexual impropriety.
The letter was denounced as “scandalous” by the judges shortly before Musharraf was forced to climb down and reinstate Chaudhry in July.
A military source who was privy to the dirty tricks campaign said it had failed. “They tried their best to blackmail the judges, but when the judiciary got public support, it was like getting new oxygen,” he said.
A western diplomat said intelligence officials had visited judges as they deliberated on Musharraf’s case.
“They met judges and put pressure on them. They claim they knew the decision was going to go against the president, but I’ve serious doubts about their intelligence work. They convinced him of something that wasn’t true.”

Hurray, we are following in the footsteps of our masters (CIAs, blackmailings etc.) We are progressing in “right” direction, thank you Musharraf :k:

PS: Thank you Spock for the link !

Re: The imMorally correct saviours of Pakistani integrity?

I thought Mush said that everything he does is for pakistan ? Thats how he started his speech the other day.

maybe its more like

5% of what he does is for Pakistan and Pakistan alone
10% to make sure bibi stays in line
10% to make sure gangas dont come back and make trouble for him
10% to make sure army is happy
10% to make sure the rebels in the northwest dont reach Isloo
55% to extend his own rule

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

And then people are defending these Judges as being the right people to make moral decisions for the country.

Right, so your point with posting this was...?

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

kindly enlighten me of those "moral decisions" that you are aware of. Don't tell me you are going the same route people who are against Imran Khan "oh he has illegitimate child".

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

I am not surprised that you people come up with these dirty tricks to give musharraf and army bad name. Even if they have made secret films whats wrong with it the judges and their children were doing unislamic acts. They are supposed to be judges not lofers!!!!

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

hurray…gr8 work madman mushy n ISI. if you can’t have things ur way the right way then start blackmailing and threats. tells how a lot about the mindset of this madman mushy and his Co. they’ll stop at nothing to get what they want.

paklion : and how islamic it is to spy on people for your own interests and advantage? last i heard what i do behind closed doors is none of your business. :halo:

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

This shows how low Mushy and ISI can go to extend his rule.

A couple of things are worth noting...

1) Personal character/habits have very little to do, if anything, with your moral character. Sex is one of the natural desires of human beings, and being involved in it in no way means that you can not be a moral person otherwise. Needless to say our good ol' Mushy is quite a womanizer himself, and openly drinks alcohol.

2) In some of the cases mentioned in this article, sex was offered to these judges, and they didn't seek it themselves. In other words, sex was made available to them through ISI, and they didn't seek it. It's like putting candies in front, and expecting (s)he wouldn't pick them. wow!

3) Some of these cases involve their children, and none of the judges or any human being for that matter, is responsible for how his/her (adult) children behave.

Just another example of how corrupt Mushy and his heralds really are.

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

yeah sure, and using those videos to get judgment in your favor is very Islamic, is this what you are suggesting? If they really wanted to use these videos they could've published/taken-to-court long time ago, why wait till a judgement is announced on your career/desires/lust then use these videos as pressure?

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

pakistanis are so gullible, they will believe anything they read in a gora newspaper. people should ask themselves that if they were being blackmailed over a sexual incident, would they ever reveal the news of their blackmail to outsiders and even that to a pakistani lawyer who are the biggest blabber-mouths in the world? blackmail is kept secret because news of underlying incident will destroy the person being blackmailed if the story gets out. therefore why on earth would a judge risk his reputation by revealing his deviant behaviour to an unconnected party? the story in sunday times is almost certainly been planted by indians through one of their pakistani connection.

also sunday times is owned by rupert murdoch who also owns fox news. rupert murdoch owned institutions are not really known for high standards of journalism especially when it comes to covering muslim countries. moreover british media has recently gone through a series of scandals including bbc which in pak is ranked second to the word of god:

"…But the scandal eventually clamed the head of BBC1 controller Peter Fincham, who was forced to resign last month in the wake of a report that highlighted a catalogue of “misjudgments, poor practise and ineffective systems.”

israelis have the art of spreading misinformation down to an art. an ex-israeli secret service agent has started a service called memri which scans through arab press, identifies articles embarrasing to arabs and then sends the article to western media such as the recent news on a palestine cartoon which taught suicide bombing to palestinian children. story was translated incorrectly to make palestinians look evil. western media without double checking reprint stories forwarded by memri. these days indians in a relatively unsophisticated manner have been planting negative stories on pak. indians however dont have to work too hard because pakistanis will believe anything goras tell them. most pakistanis belong to the “foreigners dont lie” school of political philosophy. cursory reading of pak history and press will make this very clear.

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

Pakistanis are gullible. I agree.

They believe first the Arabic disinformation, then Gora disinformation, then whatever comes from leftie writers.

Remember 40000000 jewish in Twin tower theory? That came from Palestinian sources.

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

^ and on the same account we believed all the news articles coming out regarding Iraq’s possession of nukes, India’s involvement in Afghanistan to destablize Pakistan etc :k:

Re: The imMorally correct saviours of Pakistani integrity?

Very beautiful analysis.

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

So I believe you are not a Pakistani, this blows your cover. Karzai!
And you got the figure wrong I remember 4 billion in Twin towers and the sources where.....No, stop. Guess it.

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

Looking at the positive side, atleast one judge came to know what his daughter was doing.

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

Never thought that Mush and his intelligence would stoop so low. First of all we don't know for sure whether these are true or concocted stories. Knowing how shady our intelligence services are anything is possible. Even if for a moment we believe that some of these judges were doing hanky panky why just pick on them? Why did this dictator not sack Wasi Zafar after he used foul/adult language on a live VOA program? not only that but this idiot is also gulity of ball-tampering on a live Capital Talk programme. Was that not fahaashi? Why the double-standards?

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

This is perhaps one of the most confused thread I have read here (confused, not confusing).

So, Mushy, ISI and those involved in this alleged "blackmailing" are low-level thugs who'd stoop to any low to get what they want. Agreed.

Now that we have settled this part of the debate lets look at the other side...

All these judges of our Supreme Court are having mistresses on the side, having sex with prostitutes and putting themselves in a compromising situations recklessly ... how the heck will the impart justice if they are involved in such fishy situations? Forget the spy recordings of sex, if a judge is putting himself in such a situation, he (or she) is losing the moral high ground anyway. Whether someone actually goes ahead and blackmails him (or her) is really not the point any more.

And if this blackmailing is really serious, how come these same judges who sex tapes are in possession of ISI restored Ifti Chaudhary and were about to kick out Mushy.

Some thing really is not making sense here. I'd say, you pass on this as a bogus mirch masala propaganda and focus on more substantive things that are happening in Pakistan.

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

How can anyone be so sure that these sex tapes infact exist or that the judges were indeed doing something fishy fishy? Where is the evidence or proof for that? We must establish this basic fact first. And I am afraid unless the tapes are released (as would be the case in the West) there is absolutely no way of knowing for us the general public as to what exactly happened here?

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

This story was written by "Ghulam Hasnain". If you guys knew his history with the ISI, you would never believe a word of this story. He is on the same level as Syed Saleem Shahzad. They write for money.

Re: The imMorally correct - judges, sex and blackmail (merged)

Very well said!
