Yar, do you hear yourself? Have you seen with your own eyes that any of these members have beaten their wives or raised a hand at a female? Some of them are not even married! You speak of Pakistan not being ready for Islam, but it starts at the individual level, right? Where in Islam is it encouraged to accuse someone (of domestic violence or whatever) without proof? Even to be merely suspicious is wrong.

This thread started with the idea that men cannot control themselves therefore a woman should not be displayed as a model on a shaving cream can.

You’re telling me a culture where men literally give themselves every excuse in the book to consider women property is not abusive? Do you really want to defend ajazali’s stance on how men cannot be trusted around a picture of a woman, let alone a real woman?

I understand the diplomacy in your post, but I don’t agree with any of it. It is wrong to defend this barbaric mentality. Even a shred of it is like an infection.
