There was a huge uproar from maulvis which did prevent DNA testing from being applied to the rape cases. I am sorry but you are very misinformed. Please do a quick internet search. This is nothing new. Pakistan’s law has allowed DNA testing recently but I am not sure of that. IT is nothing new that most child rapes and abuse occur in madrassas. Have you come across the case of a 6-7 year old boy beaten to death by a madrassa maulvi, and the maulvi has been acquitted and is free of charge because he was forgiven by the parents. (Those parents were the ones who asked the maulvi to beat there child in teh first place.) The point is Pakistani legislation is seriously flawed. IF the parents or family members forgive the crime (under pressure, or maybe because they recieve some money or maybe because they didn’t really care about the abused victim in the first place) then our country gives no protection to such a victim.

You are not getting my point… What i am saying is… this “4 witness” thingy has never been a part of Pakistani law even when there was no DNA testing available… and no molvi has ever demanded 4 witness from rape victims… Blank statements like “their islam requires 4 witness” are incorrect. Not a fan of molvies, just stating a fact.
