Allama Iqbal has said “Musa o Firoun o Shabbir o Yazid, Ein dou qowat az hayat ayat padeed” (meaning that the battle from truth and falsehood is an eternal one and Hussain and Yazid is another example of it).

That line from Dr. Iqbal sums it up nicely. House of guidance can not give in to the house of corruption.

[23:71] If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition.

I will post the sermon of Imam Hussein which was delivered in the field of Mina in front of thousands of Muslims that were there for the pilgrim. It highlights the role of the scholars of Islam.
