so the book I would like to suggest for reading is “Animal Farm” by George Orwell, which truly depicts today’s politicians. Though the story is built with animal characteristics ( fable) but the way the HAVES behave is really an eye opener for the public.

Also i've read the Bali Rai one's - all of them, my fav was Rani and Sukh! And i've read Daughters of Shame - is really interesting and truly makes you think about our culture!

actually sazzie we're starting over with the book-list.. it was getting confusing because there were books recommended before and then others recommended for the list.. so to keep everyone on the same page we just started from the first book on the list.
We will get to home-game soon too but then we will wait for everyone to read the book and start the discussion :)

we're love to have u philosophy.
the list is on page 7 , its in sequence of who joined and then the book they recommended. I personally think its easier to go down the list of people and their recommendations to keep everything and everyone on the same page.

Since CharmedOne hasnt suggested a book we're going to jump to Brummiebirds suggested book "The Historian". I will also start a thread everytime we start a new book that way its easily found and we will just discuss the book in that thread to keep everything organized!
With ramadan starting next week I think I'll give til wednesday next week for the book to be read and start the discussion then.
Personally I think we should focus on more religious material during ramadan, so I might bring the bookclub to a temporary halt after the Historian and resume after Ramadan. Thats jst my opinion.. what do you guys think?
