Pakistan's first McDonald's opened September 1998 in Lahore and a second one opened two months later after healthy demand from the public. The Pakistan drive-through line is quite different from the western world in that it attracts clients in motorized rickshaws, on bicycles and even on horses. Middle class Pakistanis are generally well traveled and enjoy Western fast food. Pakistan’s largest city Karachi is home to Pizza chains and other mass snack restaurants.
