Having lost 30lbs before I now want to lose 10lbs to reach my absolute ideal weight. Also a very good friend is getting married soon AND im going on holiday soon!
Inspired by Hareems thread who seems to be doing really well I thought i would also write down here what im eating and what I am doing as a form of excercise.
Food
Breakfast- Poached Egg + 10 Almonds + Carrot juice
Lunch - 1 Grilled chicken breast ( no skin no oil ) marinated in low fat yogurt and spices + 3 handfulls of wilted spinach
snack- Apple
Dinner- Chicken soup- no oil
Workout
Cardio
10 min warmup- treadmill
30 mins- treadmill- apparently i burnt 200 cals ( I run at 7.5 at an incline of 4 and vary the incline every minute after 10 mins for 8 mins so go upto 12 %)
Stairmaster- apparently 200 cals Level 7 for 30 mins
You dont need to lose weight- according to your BMI your are almost underweight. I know you dont want to hear that but i feel i should tell you.
And from your pictures you look perfect mashAllah :)
aww..thx. Yea i didnt diet for my wedding because then my face gets really scrawny and nobody appreciates it. My body fat is 20%, bmi doesnt tell much, i would like it around 12-15 % so not really 10 pounds, but like 3 to 4 kgs..
gd luck with losing 10 pounds, your diet should definately do it!

OMG hun do you realize women are suppose to have that much body fat? Physiologically women have higher body fat. Women should have around 20% and men should have around 10%. Although most women have up towards 27-30% which is high but not frowned upon too much. Like inspiron mentioned your BMI (19.5) is on the lower end of healthy range. Please rethink this wt loss because if your body fat is too low it will mess with your reproduction system.

Inspiron, good luck with your wt loss!
actually, the essential body fat for women is from 10 to 12%. and much less for men, ive read it in a couple of places. and the 20% is right in the healthy range, i dont look underweight or deprived or anything and i eat 1600 calories everyday. I know we need a certain amount of body fat to maintain our reproductive systems. I just admire the waif thin look but i never do anything unhealthy to reach there because i care more about things like my skin and hair and nails..so i eat healthy.
btw, 27% to 30% is overweight. Having excess body fat is just as dangerous as having less. I think 25% is the limit for normal range.

Well, all I will say is speak to a health care professional possibly a dietitian about what is a safe level of body fat % for women. I have never heard or read anywhere that 10-12% is what women need only athletes have such low body fat %.
Yes, I know 27-30% is higher than normal but like i said it is not too frowned upon because women tend to have high body fat. It is still just as bad as having low body fat.
maryam23, sorry but honestly speaking you look very thin already, you need to work out to tone up that body, you'll look extra thin with more weight loss and that is not attractive.
hmm..i think you are right about toning up and like i said, i never crash diet or do anything dangerous, no low carb, low fat nonsense. and i check my vitamin/minerals blood test regularly. I think i should just add a strength training routine, i used to do it but stopped!
@hareem, im not very thin, im alright, not thin and not fat, just normal, my sister is very slim , shes 5'6 and 50 kgs! im not doing anything dangerous people..
10 to 12% is not a normal body fat reading, only very fit people have this reading you are right it is what athletes have, its the least you can go without having problems, therefore called essential fat, normally models, celebrities have even lower body fat then that and they are the ones who have health problems, not anyone above 12%
You do realize the highly educational and reliable websites you referenced all say that even athletes don’t have that little body fat. Hey, to each their own. Good Luck!
