The Epilator!

Re: The Epilator!

I find epilator better for legs then waxing...waxing is to much chip chip and mess...i am used to it now and it doesn't hurt anymore and its less time consuming then waxing, at least for me.

neck?!! .. whoaoh honey u r growing hair in the worng places. lol

Re: The Epilator!

whats a bikini liner.....?

Re: The Epilator!

god it kills...and epilator hurts sooo much....i find waxing much easier

So, I have decided to buy one... Now the question is, which one/brand should I go for?

Any philips one. they are all essentially the same with just different attachments or pain reducing add-ons. there's one that comes with a bikini trimmer, which is quite useful.

I know some people are fans of Braun - as i said above, i hated all the Braun ones i tried, they just break the hair and it's back in a few days.

I think everyone here will give different opinions though!

waxing is the best :chai:

i have a braun epilator and i totally love it....especially when you have to go somewhere and have no time for waxing....in the beginning it was a little painful but later you dont feel tht much pain....its totally worth buying

okay i don't have like pubic hairs growing out of my neck if that's what you're thinking =\ it's a little peach fuzz and i'm quite certain everyone has it. women that do threading in salons even thread your neck.

Thank you!

I haven’t had time to buy one yet but hopefully that’ll change by tomorrow night. I am planning on going on an extravagant shopping spree with my oh-so-generous sister and I’ve included the epilator in my list of things to buy! I can’t wait… wooohooo.

I hate waxing. :smack:

hehe, get your sister to buy a different brand from the one you buy, then you can try out both :stuck_out_tongue:

i can’t guarantee that you will love epilating any more though! if you can bear the pain, it’s so exciting in the beginning, until you get ingrown hairs of the like you could never imagine - really painful! BUT everyone is different, it works well on my arms and underarms, for others it works well everywhere, and for some it’s just horrible anywhere! :frowning:

good luck! it has to definitely be tried.

i just epilated 2day after a month. OUCH>>>

i think generally its best to use wax, but i find that if u want 2 remove small hairs which havent fully grown, then epilators are best for that

Re: The Epilator!

i have waxed my entire life and its the best!
my mom used that thiggy and it left her skin dark and the hair came back thicker and darker, its so disgusting.
stick to waxing

i use an epilator, have beenusing it for several years now...i have to say its the best hair removal product i have bought(and i tried everything except laser, which is not even that effective cos u have to go for repeats treatments etc) ...works very well! Especially underarms, that was my biggest problem, waxing was unthinkable, it never worked for me even once, and shving was just horrible cos hair is area still remains stubbly.

when i first tried it underarms, it was the most painful experiance and it took me a really long time to remove the hair...but once i completed, it is soooooo much easier now and the hair is soo much thinner and the area is just so nice and smoooth.

So epilators roc, definatley recommended...buy one if u can!

Re: The Epilator!

whats the exact brand and model number you gals recommend? also, which ones gives the LEAST amount of ingrowns??

Re: The Epilator!

Hi, cant remember the EXACT details of my epilator right now, i know its phillips, the samll one (will provide u with exact details later) but regarding ingrown hair, u MUST exfoliate (with either the exfoliating glves or even the pumic stone...hope this helps x

epilator is better than waxing..though waxing is a quick process, but it is more painful than epilator..

Re: The Epilator!

Which brand of epilator is less painful in underarms?????
i have braun with me but its soooooooooo painful on underarms... help me girlsss

hi sara, using an epilator underarms first time round is a KILLER, honestly it really feels like an impossible mission...however, i used it literally bit by bit hair by hair, and i literally gritted my teeth throught the whoe time (it took me like 30 mins per area!! Also, the best thing to do is to have a few ice cubes in a freezer bag with u and just cool the area down as u epilate, i found this helped ALOT as it numbs the area slightly... and another thing, use a very small amount of talcum powder, that also helps...

I use the phillips make and as i said, first time is a killer but thereafter, its a breeze...so i say go through the pain, as they say, no pain no gain! And really, my underarms feel as soft as a babys bottie!

Hope this helps x
