Basanth is celebrated in india too but i never heard any deaths due to this
in south and central india the kite flying festival is on Makar sankranthi on Jan 14th
i heard deaths after holi when people drowned in a river when bathing after playing holi
for diwali in india from 1 month before there were ads in TV on what precautions to be taken when firing crackers
what my thinking is you can stop people from celebrating but you should educate them how to celebrate and what precautions you need to take
Basanth is for joy and happy , i don't think any religion is aganist joy and happyness , i saw many muslims & christians in india who fire crackers on diwali i dont' see any wrong in it, god or bad is what the way you see things :)
every year when this jashn-e-baharan (spring Festival) comes co called the Basant, ppl start opposing it and start saying that it is celebrated in the memory of some non- muslim and all htose who participate in celebrating htis event is basically favouring that person who (God Forbidden) said some very bad words about our Holy {rophet (Peace Be Upon Him)
i dont know whether its true or not , what i believe is that we celebrate this occassion on the arrival of spring , when the beautiful and eye catching Yellow mustard flowers bloom every wherer covering the land in miles and give a freshness to ur eyes and peace to your heart. this is the time, in our Pakistan that shows the arrival of beautiful weather "spring" ,,,
to celebrate this event ppl reserve a day Basant to fly kites to wear colorful jora to be with their friends and family and to make fun and to enjoy
whats bad in it
now some ppl say that if you want to have such time so celebrate some day else...now my question here is that why ppl canoot see others happy. i mean well we have kept this day for such purpose and now some are saying to so all these things on some other day...so ..won't they have any problem on that other day???
all days are same so whats the diference between this day and that day...?
