And that's why I use the term so liberally to describe certain quarters of the human population.
I was referring to actual pig and how some say that you cannot say the word out loud (as if it's a sin zor zor se aankheiN ghumaying).

Havn’t read the entire thread so I dont know if it has already been mentioned, but the whole concept of Quran Khaani’s, i dont know of any other culture where it is done. Whether it be someone’s death/ barsi/ wedding, etc… as if the Quran was ONLY revealed to reap its blessings, acting upon it is a dour ki baat

Grave worship does happen. Its wrong. But do not confuse praying for the Saint or for your parents at someones grave as actually praying to THAT person. No knowing sane muslim would do that. It is Allah that gives!
Plenty of main stream Sunni scholars also believe that its perfectly acceptable in Islam to ask a deceased pious person to intercede on your behalf to Allah, as long as you realize that it is Allah who ultimately answers your prayer.
