The discrimination within Pakistan...

Sigh…

I can’t believe some of the problems that exist within Pakistan as exemplified by the various threads here on GS. Balochies wanting to separate, Pastuns not liking “Mohajirs”, “Mohajirs” not liking Pastuns, Punjabis vs. Sindhis, etc, etc…

IT IS DISGUSTING. Why can’t we all call ourselves PAKISTANI??? Why discriminate based on ethnicity? We’re all muslims and believe in one Allah and his last rasool (pbuh). Why can’t this fact unite us?

I’m so sick of derogatory terms such as “Curry Munchers” , “Daal Khor”, or “Laundaybaaz” oh and my faviourite “Ackrot”. The sooner the avaam of Pakistan realize this the better Pakistan will be! I’m so damn PROUD of where I’m from and I consider every other person from a Pakistani city my brother and my friend, regardless of ethnicity.

Lastly, we should definitely STOP calling people MOHAJIR if their families migrated to Pakistan during '47. They are as much Pakistani as anyone.

STOP THIS DISCRIMINATION…please.

Jazak Allah

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan…

i agree

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

oh r mojhirs immigrants well yeh i totoally agree with wat u r saying but i read somewere that pashtuns also want there part i dont know i am pakistani and very much proud

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

Glad to see something like this coming from you Anil. Was it you or Farukh khan who was ranting about pashtun separatism a while back.
I think people were much more patriotic and respected towards how much struggle it took for Pakistan to come into existance. However now I see these feelings gone from most of the Pakistanis and specially in the new generation. It is just so sad. What will happen to our qaum.

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

pakhtuns never struggled for pakistan ,we fought the british only because they divided us and tried to occupy us..on the contrary our elders and people were killed by the rulling governments of pakistan at that time..sorry but i cant forget about my thousands of year old identity and embrace just being a pakistani.. i think if we all muslims were united in one hindustan it would have been much better..

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

anil is right we should stop hating other ethnic groups, nobody is superior to anyone but we should not exclude muslims of india...if we were in one country "hindustan" muslims would have been far more greater in numbers..

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

lol i posted the same thread ----well similar and my thread was closed in 4 days people could not even be nice to each other even in virtual world *mad

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

I couldn't DISAGREE more. There is no way in hell would I want to be called a "Hindustani". Pakistan was made for muslims and if it wasn't made, suicide bombs would be a daily occurence as it is in Israel.

I consider myself firstly a Muslim, then a Pakistani, AND THEN my ethnicity comes in. I would give my life for Pakistan.

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

what is wrong in being called a "indian-hindustani"?, as if muslims in pakistan were always living together..not to forget there are more muslims in india than pakistan..dont get me wrong but i am for the unity of muslims in india and pakistan and live together with non muslims peacefully like we had been living for centuries...

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

I would HATE to grow up in a society dominated by pagans. I'm so damn proud of being Pakistani and even the thought of living with kuffars (if there were No Pakistan) gives me nightmares.

I'm really sorry that you feel the independance of a muslim nation was not worthwile.

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan…

it seems to be the problem for some people who like to blow up anyone that does not think like them sight, especially with the help of some $$$ provided by $$$owners:D…well i agree it was £££ few decades go, but the world rulers has changed

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

^ We like to live in PAkistan and call ourselves Pakistanis, you have a problem with that? And we dont give a crap about any outsider who wants us to be part of India or Afghanistan... We are Pakistanis, go climb the eiffel tower and jump!

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

^ Fully agree brother.

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

Anil you hate to live with pagans.. what about millions of pakistanis living in the west? you talk about islam but you hate to see unity with muslims in india they are more in no's than you..why is that?if muslims in india and pakistan were united they would have been ruling the whole region by now..creating seperate land doesnt make sense even the name "pakistan" is awkward..i call myself pakistani but i disagree with theories this country is based on..indians and pakistan speak the same language, folow almost the same culture and has common history , not when britain came and divided them..we should stop dividing muslims, why can't this fact unite us with indian muslims and struggle to free the whole region from paganism?

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan…

who told u that indian-muslims want to unite with pakistan??
they would rather call them indians than pakistanis.so much is the pak-hate in india.

Re: The discrimination within Pakistan...

First of all, Muslims in Pakistan are greater in number than Indian Muslims. Stop spreading lies. Secondly, Hindu and Muslims didn't exist that peacefully. Nor is there any permanant peace now. (I hope and pray that they would learn to co-exist peacefully). Thirdly, there is Muslim India and Hindu India. Muslim India is Pakistan and Bangladesh. Doesn't matter if their constitutions are 'Islamic' or secular. Islam was never in danger in sub-continent. Muslims were.. Jews wanted to have their separate homeland for a reason. There are more jews in the USA and Europe than in Israel. It doesn't mean that they are going to fly out of Isreal back to the countries they came from and live in peace and prosperity there. Similary, Indian Muslims (in Muslim India and Hindu India)represent the largest concentration of Muslims in the world. We wanted to have our own territory because we didn't want to lose our identity. Doesn't matter if there is one Pakistan or two Pakistans. Muslims in Hindu India are no less Muslims than Muslims in Muslim India. But my prediction (which could be wrong) is that they would lose their separate religious identity and become part of some kind of religious amalgamation as envisioned by Akbar. With every Sozane Khan marrying Hirithik Roshan and every Salman Khursheed marrying a Hindu woman, we are witnessing a huge demographic shift that will completely change the identity of Indian Muslims in the next couple of centuries. Muslims living in India don't have any internatinal voice of their own. To retain their identity some Indian Muslims chose the path of national isolation. Pakistan was never meant to be a theocratic state. Now I would rather be called a Pakistani than an Indian. I have cultural and lingual affnities with both east and west. I can appreciate Indian culture and Pakistani culture. I can befriend Hindus (those who don't consider me untouchable). But I want them to respect my Pakistani identity. It's not too much to ask for.

In the end, I would say
