i just saw this movie, and it was awesome! so well done... Leonardo stole the show -- I actually went to see Matt Damon, because overall i think hes a better actor, but I was really surprised at Leo's performance... he was amazing. the cast really made this film --- but the plot was engaging as well. (sometimes even a star-studded cast cant save a sinker). id definitely recommend it to anyone who hasnt seen it yet.
is it just me, or did the chick in the movie remind you of Sarah Jessica Parker??
Also, about the envelope ...what ever happened to that? bascially that whole scene had no point....there were a lot of scenes that were just used at time fillers...the whole coke and whore scene...but overall a good movie! most likely there will be an indian version in the near future starring AB in Jack's role...
which envelope? the one that Leo writes 'citizens' on? it did serve a purpose in the end when leo discovers that envelope on Matt Damon's desk (he knew this envelope was requested by Nicholson's "rat" to do a background check on nicholson's crew.
please i will shoot myself in the head if they attempt an indian version.
no no the envelope that leo gave to the shrink and to open it just in case something happend to him...what became of that? did she go tell mark wahlberg about it?
yeah..exactly what i thought when she first got preg...and what was she doing in the room while matt was banging on the door...we thought she was goign to kill herself....and i wonder if matt ever found out about the affair..since she was also at leo's funeral crying....so many unanswered questions.....sniff sniff....
Movie was fantastic. Tried and tested formula but clinically executed. I agree with posts above who said they have rarely seen such star cast gelling so well. Di caprio was the surprise package but whoaa Mark WahlBerg was just awesome. Honestly speaking this plot would have sucked without such brilliant performances even with MS at the helm.
Excellent movie. I know everyone has commented on Leo's performance and I agree, he was brilliant, so was Jack. Wahlberg was f**king intense and yes he did steal every scene he was in. Another good Wahlberg flick was "Four Brothers".
Nobody seems to have commented on the soundtrack. Scorcese did it again, he hand picked classic rock ballads and put them in the most appropriate parts of the film. And who can forget the balls to the walls metal Irish jig. If anyone's wondering, it's called "I'm Shipping up to Boston" by the Dropkick Murphys. I had to get the soundtrack right after the movie. Classic tracks like "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd covered by Van Morrison, BRILLIANT.
^ ‘I am shipping up to Boston’ is a kick-a$$ track man :k: I downloaded it yesterday and it is so peppy. Lyrics are nothing to home about but its the music, the rocking effect that counts.
