Totally agree with u....they r both stunning women. A lot of asian ppl r obessed with colour yet i know enough white guys including my hubby (whos a gora convert) think dark asian women r the most stunning of all because they look so exotic. :D

surely skin tone doesnt matter , especially when you get to know someone, their personality begins to shine through. if someone has pretty features then the skin tone does not make a blind bit of diffirence...in the end beauty will fade and only what a person is like will remain

What people like NATURALLY is PALE.
An ugly pale woman/man still looks all the worth to most. A beautiful but darker woman/man, equipped with a beautiful persona will hardly shine out, UNLESS you know them very well, and your decent yourself. Thats the world.
For any Muslims- See why the Prophet was eulogised for whiteness like the moon- any idea why? Any idea why the Torah/Injeel has it that the blacks were a cursed race by Nuh, thats why they were in slavery?
Any idea why God loves white, Jannat is white, best cloth is white, in Jannat humans white, and in HELL its UTTER BLACK?
Any idea why ALL the religious Gods emntion EVIL=black LIGHT=Purity/piety...and milk of Jannah was also pure and thus white, why?
Any idea why all the religious Gods mention light in the soul/heart as GOOD, and Darkness and Blackness in the herat means--- BAD?
Fact is fact, whether one likes it or not. I see no difference between any for colour.
So many paler guys/girls do not even look better than a standard ugly dark man, BUT somehow the mental cognitives see it as VERY beautiful. Get a photo program and try it yourself and youll see. Some colours hide "mistakes" or "faults" more than others. Some higlight them too much more than others.
Why do you think the "tan" started?
Look to Paki-Indo PARENTS. See their reactions ever? that should show you something pretty clearly. For one, why the west is worshipped so much and ALL but one or two of the GUYS or GIRLS want to copy and be like the Western whites. Its a cultural thing, in the historical ancestral beliefs, and its passed on. the West certainly does NOT see that.
The Pakistani environment and Lollywood is a purely elitist show of that.
In Pakistani places, women are sold for ruppees that are "black" and the more "chandni" she gets, the more shes worth. Disgustingly Twisted.
While the white want to be South American, Latino, Spanish and Italian.
White shines out and is noticed like twinkle light. Black does not and is an inhibitive colour, showing hardly any decent tone, and less of whats there, but absrbing of light, to relect less, Hence outer, physical beauty is LESS seen and noticebale, even if close up, it be there.
Just one of modern yotta billion palgues. (PS:google yotta if you dont knwo what it is)
Caste sytems ALSO employ class systems, and COLOUR is of most important mainly in Asian/African countries only.

I don't know where (which source) you got the 90% from but as a muslim, I know one thing and only one thing. Any muslim who marries another muslim based on their color, race, gender, wealth etc. and not their character and Imaan is a looser. Ahadith of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) clearly state that do not look for anything in your partner except his/her taqwa and imaan. So the question of light and dark does not arise.
I have come across many DESIS from India, Pak, and Bangladesh who tend to think that if a muslim marries another muslim from another race/country, then he/she has done something big (ie. something wrong). This type of thinking is just wrong and totally against the teaching of Islam. Yes, you should look for a pious partner but he/she does not have to be from same country/race as you. Nor does he/she has to be brighter than you in color. Beauty does not come from outside but from within one's character.

Agree with you 100%. Have you ever seen an ugly Somali or Ethioean woman? Every one of them dark and every one of them beautiful.

I don't know what is your point in quoting me but it is right from what I have seen. Boys are in majority, more darker than girl and girls are more fair than boys. And to me, this percentage goes to 90% or so. Yet, boys want white skinned girls without looking at their own color of skin, which I think is quite unfair demand.

please realize that this cannot be fact as you vehemently stated because beauty is subjective. You may find darker girls less beautiful than lighter girls but your opinion is not everyone elses opinion. There may be many, esp. desis, who agree with you but there are many people in this world who wouldn't.

1- First of all, I don't want you to think that I am trying to imply that boys are lighter than girls or vise versa. My point in quoting you was just to let you know that just because you came across darker boys, that does not count for the rest of the world. When you say that 90% of boys are dark, do you speak about the boys that you have met or boys in the whole world???
2- Again, when you say "boys in majority", the question that arises is have you seen all of the boys (or even majority) of the boys in the world?
3- If boys marry white skinned girls or vise versa, I don't find anything wrong with this provided they both (girl and boy) marry each other for Islam and marry each other for each other's character and imaan. Skin color, in Islam, has nothing to do with marriage. If you marry a person lighter than you, does Islam say that it is haraam? I don't see how white skinned girl is superior to dark skinned girl or how white skinned boy is superior to dark skinned boy!!!

beauty is in the eye of the beholder - i dont think anyone is ugly, but yes i do find some people very good looking but its regardless of the color. one must understand that Allah is created these two colors to show people that He can actually make everything He wants to be beautiful - there are some african american girls who are so damn pretty. But at the same time there are some fair girls who arent as pretty as one thinks fair complexioned women should look. it depends on the features as well (when it comes to looks).
but yes as i said the beauty is in the eye of the beholder hence i guess there are people who prefer fair girls over dark ones and many dont mind at all.
In my opinion well confidence, grace, personality, mannerism counts more then looks.
