i missed the start but who cares for stupid challenges.. i got to see all the fight.. well the three rounds that pretty boy Brent lasted.. Anthony whooped his a$$ bad.. he was definitely hard hitting and connected .. Brent was fast.. but he never managed to "get to" Anthony..
I think Anthony made the right decision.. the teams tried to decide the matches but Anthony chose to do what was right for him.. he backed out of fighting Jimmy cuz he was uncomfortable fighting a taller boxer and chose Brent.. although he did get on the wrong side of his team..
that leaves two more matches .. i think Tarick will take on the lil black dude and Jimmy would square off with the taller dude left in the West team.
a couple of years ago.. maybe.. but yesterday Tarick was no match for the young Juan.. he was nimble, accurate and most importantly he had the stamina to throw hard punches even in the last round; Tarick was struggling in the 3rd!
that leaves Joey to fight Jimmy and we'd be off to the next round..
I'm shocked Juan won his fight, he stepped up and fought what he thought was the bigger challenge. I was cheering for him to succeed, but with his style Juan is going to get himself killed in the ring. He brings his head right into the line of fire, and that easy target helped the other guy get back into the match.
Juan is young, and has a lot of work to do, but I'm not sure how much longer he'll last.
Juan won the fight because he has a lot of stamina and is fast. But the way he was boxing i felt that he could get knocked out anytime and was just waiting for a good punch by tarick. During the whole fight I saw juan winning but at the end his dad looked like he was pretty doubtful.
well Juan chickened out of the competition.. he seemed too glad he had those injuries after the fight.. i guess he realized he stood no chance against the better boxers in the next round and wanted to hold on to his undefeated record..
I am disappointed in Jimmy.. for someone with the highest IQ of the group, how hard is it to figure out your opponent can't move.. he couldn't defeat a limping Joey.. that was really sad.. I don't see Joey lasting long since he has fitness issues.. and he isn't a good boxer at all..
The final eight now have to fight each other.. but the twist is, since Juan left, an eliminated boxer returns. The highlights of the next show indicate it may well be Ahmed!!
like "you" predicted? u just wished beta jee.. it was mabadolat who gave it away cuz of those highlights..
anyway u're right.. two great episodes.. in fact.. i felt guilty of having so much entertainment for free.. These really should have been the final four but alas the game works on pretty much the same level as Survivor, so little cowards can manipulate their way out of tough fights and pitch stronger competitors against each other..
Ishe Smith went in feeling too powerful and unbeatable and Sergio showed him what defeat actually looks and tastes like.. I liked how he played mind games with him and ultimately succeeded in making Ishe tire himself up in the ring in the first three rounds.
Alfonso is without a doubt the best 'boxer' .. the others just punch, move and defend.. Alfonso 'boxes' .. there is no other way to say it.. he looks, moves, punches and takes punches like a real boxer.. i had absolutely no doubt he'd win against Ahmed who's all talk and really really hollow inside.. a boxer who doesn't land punches isn't going to win and that's exactly what happened to Ahmed who was satisfied at staying at an arms distance keeping his babyface pretty and unharmed.
Next expisode we'd see Joey vs Peter which signals that someone else (possibly Jesse who's been very good with the challenges) will win the challenge and be the matchmaker.
ok i admit, it's one of those shows i really can't wait to watch.. a fight between Joey and Peter.. what masaalaa.. since joey literally gave away a $40,000 truck to Peter by letting him win in a competition..
come Sunday come.. :we need an excited-can't-wait smilie:
ANOTHER AWESOME EPISODE! THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST SHOW ON TV RIGHT NOW!!
I hated joey and the tricks he had been playing.. I wanted his wooped! But he was a real man to fight with his broken rib and the head butt was just traggic, he might have just won the fight.. If it wasn't for that.
The music, the drama, the fighting.. The show is just awesome! I cant believe that Peter was the first one out and with his luck.. He is still on the show!
He had to fight.. u can only stay out and manipulate the game for so long.. he needed to win the challenge, but he lost to Jesse who did the right thing by not forcing an injured anthony to fight.. although if it were Anthony in his place, he'd gladly have put him upto do that cuz he's only out to win.
Joey faced Peter and he even had him.. Joey and Jesse are physically the most fit of all the boxers.. they've demonstrated that over and over by winning all the challenges .. that really helps in lasting 5 rounds.. Peter looked like a 3 round boxer.. he took a beating in the third and fourth rounds.. and had it not been for the headbutt to Joey and him just not wanting to fight the fight anymore, the result could have been very different!
Peter isn't going to win his next, regadless of the opponent as he just doesn't "last" in the ring.. u need to be able to punch all 5 rounds if it comes to it.. unless u get lucky and land couple of good ones to knock your opponent out.. he almost lost this one cuz he was just panting in there getting beaten up by a kid..
Next one would be interesting.. Anthony is a power puncher.. and jesse has got the stamina to last the 5 rounds..
JESSE WON
the most amazing 4th and 5th round, really a treat to c, I m watchin it the 2nd time will post my comments after
once again
the final four
alfonso
sergio
peter
and ma man jesse
someone should have told Anthony to chill and dance around the ring and even avoid contact if needed.. cuz he had the fight in the bag.. there was NO need to be so reckless and continue trying to 'hit' Jesse.. Everyone knows Jesse could last another 5 rounds.. he has the best stamina out of all the contenders.. Anthony didn't strategize.. he was just like a wound up monkey with gloves..
Jesse saw the opening, landed just one big one and Anthony wasted a points victory and lost by TKO
Next fight is Sergio vs Peter according to highlights.. Sergio has a good chance but then u never know when someone lands a 'big one'
Alfonso being technically the most sound has a good chance.. but Jesse is a hard hitter and Alfonso would need all his moves to avoid big hits to his face.. otherwise i have no doubt he'd out box him to a points victory.. hey even Anthony was on his way to do just that.. and he just throws punches like a mad man who's missed his medication..
I feel so bad for Anthony.. He was motivated.. Jesse was getting his ass wooped.. Jesse was never ready for the fight (or was he!?)...
The thing I enjoy more than the actual fights is the intensity and the state of mind the fighters are in the locker room! Especailly with their families..
Here they are two galdiators ready to get it on.. And right before the battle they are just two guys... two sons.. Two fathers.. The emotion is over whelming..
I heard you can vote for your favourite fighter to come back.. Lets vote for Kadouri..
per his own admission he was the "lightest" of the lot, and just to make it to final four was against all odds.
The 7 round fight was fought at a 5 round pace.. both boxers boxed well.. Peter surprisingly connected much better than he ever has and that made the difference.. Alfonso isn't a heavy hitter, although he connects more.. Peter on the otherhand packs a heavy punch, which slowly took it's toll and Alfonso lost on points.
Next up is Jesse vs Sergio.. i think it'll be an easy win for Jesse as once again of the two boxers, Jesse is the hard hitter.. so even if Serio lands some, it won't hurt Jesse.. but Jesse's connections will make Sergio weaker by the punch.. Not to mention Jesse has demonstrated his physical fitness by staying strong and has a higher chance of lasting the 7 rounds without breaking a sweat.
