The Concept of God in Hinduism

I have a feeling that no one has tried to take in the message that the initial post provides.

Either that or I can't write well at all.

Mr partypooper

your original post was very good and it was going very well with the topic you started. But then GFQ diverted all the attention towards Mohammed being the Kalki Avtar. Now to me as a hindu it is great news and I'm very excited about it.

Had it not been for your posting and the help of GFQ, we hindus would have been waiting for the Kalki Avtar for only God knows how long.

What do you think "avatar" means? GFQ clearly made the claim that he was THE Kalki Avater.

Your behaviour towards Hinduism shows that clearly you have limited or no knowledge of Hinduism on basic beliefs, but you cannot stop yourself from saying non-sense about it. But when faced with truth about my own religion you try to become self-righteous and worthy of no respect. You still haven't read the Bhagavad Gita or the Thirukural.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

GfQ,

can you provide the souces of the claims upon who the Avtar is from the Hindu Scriptures please?

I am asking this because sanjhabanda and astrosfan seem to have accepted these claims without showing evidence for the truth of these claims. But I think I am wrong in that sense, because they will have easy access to sources which may testify to this. So is it possible for me to have a look up references to those sources and understand it for myself too?

Please?

Oh no. People, we really, really have gone off the topic completely…

Astrofan, I know what are your basic and fundamental believes. Trust me. Sati burning, dividing people into pathetic caste system and seening other human beings as inferiors to one self. That is what your religion is all about. Its is NOTHING compared to Islam and its divine teaching. Hinduism is not even close to Islam when it comes to equality among humans and human rights. You need to learn Islam, we already know what Hinduism is. It is a dark part of the modern society. Even the word "hindu" means darkness!
When you are faced with such facts about your own religion you just twist and spin it as if its OK. Hinduism only teaches racism(caste system)it teaches inferiority of one human being on the other.
As I said, you should be ashamed of your self. How can you still creat lies about Islam, when your own religion is based on dividing people(caste system) and inequality?

In my other post on "The Hindu Scriptures", this would not be consistent with the definition given in that post. In that post it states that

'Hindu' is actually a Persian word that stands for the inhabitants of the region beyond the Indus Valley.

Originally the word hindu comes from the aryan/sanskrit word which means River( sindi)..the greeks from hten started calling the region roughly hindu...i have never heard anywhere outside this forum that the word means dark....the british later on altered the word to India..or indus
