The chef's attire ...

Your entire post made me literally laugh out loud. You are so cute CB!! :hugz:

If I know I am going to be cooking something intense with a lot of masalay and tarkay wali smells… then I change into a pair of older PJ’s that I then later throw into the wash right away. I also super conscientious about smelling like desi food :bummer: … I tie my hair back and also put on my “kitchen headband” to decrease the risk of hair fallout into food (ewe).

I like the idea of wearing a proper chef’s topi… :hmmm: Whoever mentioned they wear a shower cap when they cook … that is brilliant too… I’m going to start doing that… solves both issues…hair fallout and smells going into the hair. Perfect :lajawab:

Wearing a gloves is a really good idea too CB…

My mom wears like 1950s housecoat when she cooks… it has full sleeves and goes almost all the way down to her ankles. It’s baby blue with pink flower embroidery and yellow buttons that go all the way down. We have always made fun of her for it…but she refuses to switch over to an apron… she luvs the housecoat. lol.
