This is a war torn province and their whole economy relies on the net hydel profit which they use to design their budget. What does PMLN get out of choking a province which is so central to Pakistan’s fight against terrorism? Are they really upset by seeing some successful developments in KPK?
KPK desperately need this money to complete its many development projects. Then people sitting in their mansions in Lahore ask what has war damaged KPK done, while our Punjab has been a heaven on earth.
Khattak should simply ignore PMLN clowns like Kh. Asif, should directly call COAS and the Apex committee and be dead honest to him that if you want NAP to be successful, give us the money needed to re-build this province. This is ain’t no bheek, KPK is simply asking for its share of profit for the electricity produced in their province! This is not 80s, 90s where you can issue any propaganda in the media and people will believe it. PMLN supporters may live in the bubble of PTV, but there is so much awareness on issues that people cannot be fooled easily. How many Pakistanis believed that Sindh was getting invaded as calimed by PPP? If PMLN tries to pull any ethnic card, it will be as successful as PPP's lies.

He is not a model CM because doesn't need to watch breaking news to take 'any notice' of gang rape/murders and take pictures with victims for cheap publicity. He is not a model CM because he had devolved powers in LG all the way to village council level. He is not a model CM because he has managed to work with three party coalition government. He is not a model CM because KPK has actually improved under him. KPK is very glad he doesn't match Punjab's criteria of model CM.

What a BS! Simple and plain BS. No you cant have $35 B set aside of many energy projects most of which are outside Punjab, in Sindh etc. No Center is choking any one. We all saw what happened with empty threats from Container? Actually the one giving threats were slapped on faces, were even humiliated, lost position of strength, were made to make U turns and turned in to Epic Failures and Losers. No I am not suggesting for provinces to shut up, rather I am suggesting that this is not a political issue rather a legal issue between State parties and inter governments involving many parties. No where it said Center agreed to any thing, if any thing, the article is simply giving an account of events in this dispute. I am in commodity tarrif design and these kind of disputes are very common. Resolution of these are generally through legal ways with all parties giving something up and gaining some thing. so Simply put it does not matter was CM KPK wants, what matters is that what are the both sides of story and how the payments can be made in giving situations. Perhaps CM KPK is correct and center owes KPK but given the war and other economic reasons full payment is simply not possible so than its not possible and only other way is Installments which actually Federal Govt has offered per article.
When a company files for bankruptcy in western world, the debotrs are not paid right away or lump sump. The Center or whole of Pakistan is in same situation etc. Who knows but reading article one thing is clear Center is not choking any one and CM KPK is trying to stir rhetoric which is futile.
