FJ exactly insurance will pay for them…but the problem is not with the refineries its the rigs out in the sea…they need to be rebuilt. Refineries are usually owned by the Private oil/gas companies anyway…so rest easy and dont act like PCG (dont know jack about it but gosh darn it I have an opinion about it)

crude can be alternate sourced till rigs are rebuilt. Number of seriously damaged offshore rigs are non-trivial but not catastrophic.

Refining capacity otoh is crucial and takes very very long to expand.

If you however mean natural gas (as opposed to gasolene) then we have a bigger problem - almost all of Americas natural gas (used for heating) I believe came from there. And winter is acomin

I find it hard to believe that all natural gas came from there.....you sure about that...there are only 25 other rigs and refineries right here in Houston....do provide soem refrences if you are going to throw paranoia statements like that.
