This after a friend was with me while I was cooking … she noticed that even though my bin is easy access , yet I keep a plate/bowl next to me all through the cooking process in which I throw off peels /garbage/left overs etc etc .. and then in the end throw it in the bin all together
I thought most people do it that way , coz its just ..erm .. convenient … but she said no.. thats laziness and wrong use of the bin !
My MIL was surprised as well when I cooked for her in Pakistan … so do you guys use a bin bowl or not?
I do that too! It's just a lot easier to throw out all the mess when you're done cooking.
I tend to use the microwave cover..just turn it around, and it's a nice size to hold everything :D
I remember long time ago , when I wasnt in the habit of using the bowl , and would keep going back and forth to the bin , half the peels and garbage would get thrown out of the bin … I could never get the “nishana” right .. the peels would somehow fall out of the bin rather then in there … and then my life changed with the bowl idea … so convenient
i dont see whats so werid about the bowl thing…i dont remember seeing anyone use it, but OMGSH I HATE when people throw stuff in the sink. its like…disgusting whenu gotta go do the dishes. :shudder:
my sil used to do the sink thing and i would just go
i too am a collecter and thrower outer
for me its just lots of bending and opening cabinet (we have inner cabinet dustbin), and shutting cabinet etc etc
kaun kare itna kaam.. so for me its lazyness.
and i too like you have horrific nishana. peels and wotnot always landed outside… its horrible when its chicken skin that just sticks to teh carpeting… and u try to pick it up ever so lightly so it doesnt stick but the more u try the more it sticks and then ure struggling..
I know someone who did that because she used to have a kitchen with a garbage disposal, so I can understand doing it out of habit the first few times…but I think later she did it just to annoy me (cz guess who did the cleaning )
I guess thats fine if u clean off the counter top with spray and stuff and not just plain water.
