Books. Unless the book is crappy, in which case the movie has a good chance of being better.

I read and enjoyed harry pothead but they weren’t well written books. The movies, although they weren’t all that true to the books were well made and more enjoyable to watch than the books often were to read.

One of my biggest bugbears is LoTR. I want to smack people in the face when they say how amazing they think the movies were. Even just considering them on their own, they were **** and Peter Jackson is a hack of a director. As movies of the trilogy, they make me cry.

Okay hold on there what was wrong with the LOTR movies? The movies were as true to the books as humanly possible.
