The Body Shop

Any1 of you happens 2 be a regular user of the body shop’s products? if yes, than how do you find their products. And what products do u use?.

Re: The Body Shop

I use the grapeseed line of astringent and face cream.

I like it allot- I think it gets the job done without making you feel greesy.
Salman uses the men's body washes which double as a shampoo and he smells freaking delicious!!! No perfume needed.

But my mom hates them.

I would say try them out.

Re: The Body Shop

i hate their products, they have done absolutely nothing for me. i got their supposedly BEST selling vitamin e cream which ended up making my skin feel more dry than ever before. then there was this aloe vera toner i got to soothe my allergies and it didn't do jack. the ONLY things that somewhat appealed to me were their eyeliner and hair conditioning treatment. my sister liked their honey shampoo but she gave up after a while because the results were not that great after a few weeks.

Re: The Body Shop

I dont use any of their face and hair products.

But their Bath and Body products are totally divine.

I have their whole Coconut and Vanilla range plus their discontinued Moonshine products or was it Moonstone dont remember.

Their Hemp is pretty good for feet and their African Spa is to die for.

I dont like their Body Butter Scrubs as they are just sugar.

Their Mens line is alrite.

Re: The Body Shop

i like their vit C scrub and carrot cream for dry skin in winter that cream is awesome if u have really dry sin... beside that their showergel/bodyscrub/bodycream is very nice also... when used together they give you a very soft fresh skin...

Re: The Body Shop

I used to work for the Body Shop 2 years ago. I have to say that apart from their eyeshadows and make brushes, I'm not too impressed with their products. Their body butters are okay but I feel as though they are over rated- not as moisturising as the company claims. The company plays on the tag that their products are natural and whilst they do include natural ingredients in their products, these quanties are very small, e.g. their strawberry shower gel smells like strawberries from afar but come closer and it has a very synthetic smell. As for their moisturisers- don't get me started! They are SO not geared up for today's skin- some that are meant for 'dry' skins are REALLY greasy whilst those for 'oily/combination' skins can be drying. As an employee, I was asked to wear their make up and use their products- whilst body products were ok (I've tried better), I was allergic to their foundation- so beware!

After I left, I bought in bulk their eye-shimmers (REALLY long lasting- I still have mine) and make-up brushes for me and my friends- they're definately worth it.

As a whole and as with any other shop/brand, I feel they do some good products (e.g. eye-shadows, brushes), but they're not a company I would keep going back to. My grooming products contain an eclectic mix from various stores/brands- variety, afterall, is the spice of life!

Sometimes cheap products are a godsend, e.g. Nivea, Vaseline, Ponds, Boots, etc- paying alot for a product does not necessarily mean it's good. Loads of magazine articles should back me up on this!

Re: The Body Shop

Actually If you visit The BodyShop in Pakistan, the prices converted to Western currency of every product converts to the same. So thats good.

However I found Naheed and D-Mart selling some of their products for a cheaper price.
But I wasnt really sure how long those things had been sitting on their shelves and some of the seals were broken too.

Re: The Body Shop

Maham: I don't know much about their 'Body Focus' Line, but use olive oil for the 'skin changes' during weight loss- helps to reduce stretch marks.

Re: The Body Shop

You can make replicas of the Body Shops body scrubs by using sugar, olive oil and any essential oils you like the smell of. Omg, I'm giving all their secrets away now, better stop! ;)

Re: The Body Shop

I dont like their BodyShop brand scrubs but their African Spa scrub is awesome.
