We know muslims have gone nuts all over the islamic world over the movie. Apparently, their sentiments are hurt and they feel insulted etc.
Now it is common sense that these people protesting inside their own countries can’t do anything to stop such films from being made or cause any constitutional amendments in those western countries where such material originates from.
The only muslims who can actually make a difference by taking some steps would be the citizens of those western countries.
which brings me to my question about why there are no visible protests/condemnation [as far as i know, if there has been please share the info] from the muslims in those countries?
are the muslims in western countries not hurt/angry over such repeated ‘‘freedoms of speech’’?
or
they are too afraid to be labeled as an extremist, hence they keep quiet, although they share the same emotions as rest of the muslims??

I am just asking about the POV of western resident muslims. thats all. I don't want you to protest or anything. Just asking.
It is the same POV as other Muslims, and most people around the world. The movie is offensive.
I'm not sure what people want. youtube only has the trailer online, it's not like they're promoting the video. You can also find South Park episodes that mock the Prophet online. Do you want those websites taken down as well?

I am a Muslim.
I live the West.
I watched the video and didn't drive me bat **** crazy.
People rioting and rampaging in the muslim world are unemployed, uneducated, having nothing to look forward to, and rioting and rampaging gives them a sense of purpose so thats why they do it.
Same reason people join gangs. They are aimless and these gangs give them a sense of purpose.
So these fiery mullahs and their sermons do the same thing to these people.

I haven’t even watched the trailer and I didn’t even know the name of the gem until all these threads popped up on GS and I looked up some related news articles. I condemn it and I’m going to register my protest by not watching/promoting their production, and that’s pretty much as far as I’m going to take it. What’s organising rallies going to do other than promote the film even more? Perhaps I’m not so worried because I know my fellow countrymen are not dumb to fall for such propaganda, they’d be equally appalled and that’s backed up by the fact that Islam is MashaAllah the fastest growing religion in Ireland, as it is in pretty much the rest of the world if I’m not mistaken (it definitely is in America as per the latest US religion census) despite being perhaps the most hated/ridiculed religion since the past decade or so. So gotta thank the haters in a way.

i didnt even know it existed until i heard about plummeting by so called religious people .. i didnt even watch it after finding out n my bro said there is no need to .. its nothing to take seriously .. i dont understand what these so called muslim mullahs are doing ? .. no offense

I think all this protesting has given too much publicity for this stupid movie (I haven't even seen the trailer, and I will not bother looking for it), if it wasn't for all this protesting most of us wouldn't even know of this movie, all they were aiming to do was start a fire, and they succeeded, they knew what was going to happen...and now all the ignorant ppl of this world believe that they were right about Muslims being nuts...
I'll be honest. I had no idea about this movie until over the weekend. I saw a bunch of "I am Christian and I love Muslims" pictures being posted over and over on FB but didnt think anything of it.
So now that I know, what am I going to do? More than likely... absolutely nothing. What is there that I can do? Protest, cause riots, go ape sh*t over something that's not new? Living in the States as a Muslim American is a task on its own. I'm a proud Muslim. No doubt about that. But risking my life and security for a "movie" thats either going to be publicly released or "leaked" on the internet? Not worth it to me.
Ps... I still havent bothered to watch the trailer. Why? I didnt know about it and didn't care. Now I know about it and caring isn't going to do anything.
Ignorance is everywhere. There are people who respect everyone equally, just as there are people who hate everyone who is "different". I hate the haters. Does that make me any better? I'm sure it doesn't.
And I honestly believe that chosing not to do anything does not lable me a "bad" Muslim. Our religion is all about PEACE. And peace is practiced in silence.

This is exactly what I told my hubby when he found out about the movie and he was quite upset…I told him there is nothing you can do about this…why give more publicity and satisfaction to these morons..this is what they want..so the best insult or answer to them is be quiet about it and let them do their monkey business…
But instead most of the Muslim world has walked right into their trap
