Re: Inayah. After knowing so many Inayah’s, I gotta admit I prefer the similar-sounding Inarah (Ee-NA-ra) which means “ray of light” or “heaven sent”, according to friends who’ve named their daughters that.
re: The Big Thread of Baby Names
oh wow! i absolutely love Inarah now too never heard of it before. I dont personally know anyone whos name is Inayah but someone i know has a niece named inayah so inarah would be nice and love the meaning!! thanksssss SGC ![]()
Re: girl names with H
We went for this after we wanted to pick a name with good meaning and also easy to pronounce for those with well no desi connections.
Re: Baby names for a girl!

re: The Big Thread of Baby Names
Hi ladies! So we found out the baby’s gender and we are having a boy!
So far here’s my names short list.
Hadi
Ayyan
Rayyan
Really can’t think of any other boy’s names that I like. Anyone have any suggestions? My sister in law is pregnant also and she is having a boy too. They are considering Eisa & Mikail.
With respect to Rayyan - do you think ppl would mix it up with the girl’s name Ray ann?! And kids would make fun of him?!
re: The Big Thread of Baby Names
‘Hadi’ is one of the names of Allah SWT, so you must verify if you can use it on its own , or as ‘Abdul Hadi’
I have nephews, friends children named Rayyan. No-one has ever confused it with Ray Ann (I’ve never heard of Ray Ann TBH), but folks do have difficulty pronouncing it correctly (in the US/ UK) ..
re: The Big Thread of Baby Names
Congrats on your baby boy:) we also found out the gender and we are also having a boy lets see if they end up arriving on the same day too hehe. I loveeeeee rayaan I was considering it but then my friend said she really wanted to name her baby that so we were ok with it. Now we are considering Ibrahim and Eisa. I also love mikail but my mil is iffy about it.
