The Bhramies are Revolting

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

^ Yeah thats true, i can vouch for tht.. i haven't come across any racism, ever, even while bein the only paki/muslim in my school :D

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

^ exactly, I lived with my uncle in s rural town in oregon (populaton 15k) and was the only muslim let alone south asian at my college. Thank God never faced any trouble, even after 911.

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

**Bring all the sources you want, I can bring 10 more to counter them. If you need a statician to tell you there a LOT more people of Pakistani origin in the US than in UK, then you need help. Seriously. Try taking a look at a world atlas, may help change your misconceptions.

:rotfl:**I definately don't need a "statician" to tell me any thing of the sort Mr....I have my own common sense, plenty of first-hand experience, and knowledge to know wot is wot in the U.S and wot is wot in the U.K...LOL! If anyone needs help then it's a person who has never even lived in the U.K., and is telling me, a person who was born in an European country, raised in the U.K. and currently living in the U.S., to go look at a world atlas!! Please, stop making me laugh...wot on earth does an atlas have to do with any of this?!! Maybe, u don't even know where the U.K. is, so go and take a look at one urself...and how old r u like 10?! *"bring all the sources you want, i can bring 10 more to counter them" *Jeez, this is not a bloody competition...and i said before that, every site is giving out different numbers, so i care not, to give u any "sources".

A few people have mentioned density. That is another issue and it is a very valid point. However, some areas in the US like Devon in Chicago, Jackson heights in NY, areas in Houston etc are also pretty dense in the same way. I have yet to hear the sort of news coming from there which is now pretty common in similar areas in the UK. Heck, just look at Missisauga in Canada.

**Yes, density is a valid point...but u went from saying that "our Pakistani bretheren are always up to no good", to insulting past generations of hardworking ppl who came to better their lives in the U.K., then debating the population numbers, then u go on to talk about class and then finally assuming without any reasoning at all that there is no reason for there to be any racism against Pakis in U.K. (until Starsky told u the real deal)...U asked for some U.K. guppies to comment and so u shud, cos it's only us who have gone thru the horrible times of racism from Whites (at least, i will say i have)...u shud just learn to keep ur gob shut about matters u have no knowledge about, instead of insulting ppl without knowing wot really goes on...stop judging us from afar...and for ur information, i have family in Mississauga and in NY, including my fiance...and i have been living in Houston for 9 yrs now...and i have heard plenty of stories about Paki youngsters in all three places...so u mite want to take a better look at the world, and not base all ur opinions on wot u hear on the telly every nite (just a thought).
  **

What I was wondering is why such a stark difference. In labor qualifications, school performances, crime etc. Starksy mentioned inherent racism, he may have a point. I didn’t know it was that prevalent especially with desis being so common now. I haven’t lived in the UK, maybe some UK guppies could comment.

**That's all i needed to hear...ur not from here so i'm not even interested in ur posts about the U.K. which lack any real experiences. Too bad ur parents didn't teach u to respectfully ask questions, instead of throwing out ur narrow-minded comments (and all this hatred in Ramadan, on top of it)

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

^ I guess people from the UK also don’t know how to read disclaimers?

Small minded was put in there especially to get your attention. Apparently it didn’t work. I never claimed to be an authority on UK which is why I was commenting strictly from the numbers and requesting UK guppies to comment. You can’t refute cold hard facts no matter how big of a Union Jack fan you are.

And you conveniently ignored this comment.

Any guesses where hiccup lives? That’s right, now stick your head back in the ground.

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

Hiccup is misinformed

"MOST" paki's are NOT Jahil

....or trouble making

.......even the young hoodlum wannabees

I live in the uk too

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

AT the very least, the sikhs didnt get their turbans burnt in the uk post 9/11. they wanted your dhaari you know sk, they just gt the wrong peopel :(

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

Im nt miss informed, I just talk rubbish.

You do get the ghetto wannabes, but no more than inany other middle class ethnic group. Once they grow up the majority thereof are fine. The majority of paki kids go to uni and the majority therein lay some brilliant jobs thereafter. However if ur cousins across this here sea prefer to beleive that we are all leaching off welfare and this is how we got to be smarter than he then tis all good, we can live with that perception. Youjust wait till I get my noble peace prize jim.

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

For those that think England is full of sareel goray who hate us....try coming where i am. I think English are so sweet and friendly and lovely as compared :)

And like all here i'd like to disagree with the assertions about paki males in UK. This is like the 2nd major incident in my entire life span in UK. The Oldham riots and now this....well major ones anyway. I guess like suhaib said the youth here is less tolerant of injustice and dole the same back street style. There is a good whole lot of us who are your regular folks and we may even share the same origin as those that are violent. So how can you blame origin?

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

skhan: Actually i did read ur stupid disclaimer but it was of no use at this point…cos in ur posts prior to that one, u never wrote some or *a few *or anything along those lines…u clearly said:

In which ur coming off as saying ALL British brothers in the U.K. are up to no good and that it shows the difference btwn ppl who go to the U.S. and ppl who go to the U.K…now this has nothing to with me being a “fan” of the Union Jack…cos no, i’m not a fan of the flag…i am however a citizen of that country and and even putting that aside, i am a human being…and any statement like that wud bother anyone about their home…maybe ur *disclaimer *wud have worked beneath that post…but i found it a very indecent and insulting comment…and it definately seemed like u were an expert of the U.K. ppl the way u made the above comment…and yes, u asked U.K. guppies to comment on this, which was AFTER i had already responded telling u my experience/knowledge of being a citizen from there…so i think it’s u who needs to improve ur reading…as far as hiccup’s comment…i did not ignore it…i read it when she posted it, and she is entitled to her opinion…and i’m sure she was upset just like anyone wud be that a GIRL was raped…but that is no reason to make a statement like u have…i knew she was a Brit before this thread even started alrite…that has nothing to do with me…most Brits are not gonna agree with u so don’t get ur knickers in a twist just cos she happened to agree with u in the midst of emotions…i have my sense of pride, and wot u said was just plain wrong.

Re: The Bhramies are Revolting

Yea ur rite…i know not every Paki in the U.K. has come in contact with racist Whites, i was speaking about wot i have experienced and quite a lot of other ppl…i totally agree with u, there are English Goras who are very nice indeed…in fact, my next door neighbours in London were a lovely old couple (Whites)…they used to babysit us when our parents wud go out and we looked to them as our own Grandparents…i miss them :frowning: …actually, i never came across racists in London, but when i moved up north…it was like a living hell unfortuately…not in our neighbourhood (which was 100% Asian) but at school…i had some of my worst childhood memories there…anyway, i had lots of non-Asian friends and i loved them lots…basically, everyone has different ideas cos of their own experiences…i know there are bad and good ppl everywhere
