Re: The Belly Fat Cure - Jorge Cruise
The key word is "short term".
Besides, one does not have to consume saturated fat for calorie balance lost from carb.
Carb is weight producing element.
So** if the goal is to be healthy.**
Always eat healthy and do not ever get fat or obese.
If the goal is to reduce weight fast over short time, then lowest carb diet is the way to go.
Only then body will learn to stop gaining weight and breakdown fat tissues. ( Negative metabolism)
What is so smart about saying saturated fat need not be consumed???
That goes without saying. No need for a degree. :p
From heart healthy view, it is not JUST unsaturated fat.
It is polyunsaturated or mono-unsaturated fat one always should try to consume.-regardless of goal is being healthy or weight loss.
In regards to acid production, calcium loss or even concern about kidney stone, none has causal relation to low carb diet, especially over SHORT TERM.
Hydration hydration and hydration is key to avoid kidney stones. (Refer to other thread by Niksik on this)
Uric acid stones as feared by low carb diet consumption by some is not substantiated.
There is NO scientific reason to worry about short term low carb diet to reduce weight in healthy people.
