The Baseball Comment Thread (merged)

Schill is a stud, a complete stud. In one of the baseball forums I follow they are already trying to bid on the bloody sock!

I have had no sleep this week. All of these guys have to be exhausted, and the final game promises to be an historic event. Any of the sox screws up, and they better move. Billy Bucks was litterally run out of his neighborhood after the ball went through his legs.

What other game has one of its starting players having stitches to hold his tendons together? Sox fans want this bad.....

The Series may be a huge non-event. Like two enemies rolling around in the mud in a death grip that can onlyend one way. Would not want to be a Sox fan in the "Toilet" tonight if the Yanks lose...

I will now resume prayer...

And one more thing:

Friken' A-Fraud, what a Sally! We are now calling him "Slappy" for that little metrosexual effort.... May DLowe nail him in the butt with a fastball tonight, once the outcome is clear.....

though Roger will be on 4-day rest(which is fine) but i don't think Pete is going to pulled game 6 out - there will be a game 7 - this Cards-Stros series have been a home-cooking affair - so it's certainly not over yet - and anybody who thinks the series is over is foolish.

hats off to Curt for his gutty performance - he backed up his claim of shutting out 55 K auidence - i don't blame Alex for trying but his complaining after he got called out was a ***** move - Robert Fick did a similar thing last season in the LCS - however it was on a normal put-out w/o a fielder in the path.

Derek Lowe is starting game 7? his stats aren't good at the Yankee stadium - bullpen will be at work from 3rd inning if he doesn't go strong - Kevin Brown isn't an ideal start either but he has been good at home - this will sure be most anticipated ALCS game between both clubs - just hate the fact that there isn't a good pitching match like it was a year ago.

Well, as long as they were playing 0-0, I had no incentive. :D

Not with that BoSox-Yankee game that was going on for 5+ hours. The stress that was clearly visible on tha faces of BoSox fans was just so much more interesting.

ugh.. i thought you were pitchers fan? you should have watched it.

GO RED SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the curse ends tonight.

I wanna watch jeter and Arod hug each other in sensitive ways while crying after their loss.... Bunch of overpaid whiners.....

Looks like with this Grand Slam :bhangra: by Johny Demon Curse ends.

SOX leading 6-0 in top of 2.

6-1... Bottom of 3rd.....i am seeing some sloppy work by the sox for last 10 mins...

This is Johny Damon’s day.. Another home run… lead 8-1 now.

:bhangra: :nuch:

8-1 Sox Hehehe…Go Sox:k:

We WON WE WON WE WON....SOX WON...BOOOOOOOOOOO Yankees..

And BoSox win!!!

The lost face of Alex R at the end was just the icing. An incredible performance by Lowe.

7th inning was perhaps the only time when Yankee fans must be getting excited with Pedro pitching and the stadium was full of “Who’s Your Daddy” chants.

Everything else was picture perfect for BoSox. It must be so sweet to beat Yankee in Yankee Stadium to clinch the Championship!

“Why Not Us?” Indeed

wtf

who is yo papi?

im predicting a sox/cards world series! with sox winning.

Who's yo daddy!!! :D

Congrats to Boston. Just unbelieveable effort. Down by 3 games, and to clinched the birth to World Series against Yankees at Yankee Stadium speak volumes.

Praise Jesus!

i m not going to deny it but i thought the Red Sox were done, all the way until they were up 10-3 in the bottom of the 9th - i didn't think they would win the series - mostly because of Derek Lowe but they sure as hell proved me wrong - i said it before with Yankees weak pitching staff they won't be able to all it all this year - you gotta have pitching staff to hold on other side - this year was certainly not the case.

I was rooting for Sox all the way (Or rooting against the Yankees, whichever floats your boat) - and i m glad to see them advance - however - the curse is still alive until they win the big one.

A team with a historical "curse" or "choke" (as i like to put it) was down 3-0 against one of the best franchises in all of sports - i would say this is easily the best comeback in the history of all 4 major sports.

Interesting stats between Cards and 'Stros

Through six games - the Cardinals and Astros have each won three games. They’re each batting .246 - they’ve scored the same amount of runs, 29 - and their ERAs are identical, 4.80.

That’s how close this series has been so far.. Dead even..

I like the Cards to win Game 7 even with Clemens starting. though the Rocket man is rested enough but his stats pitch wise aren’t good on a 4-day rest - he hasn’t gone deep enough in the game - sometimes has been out of game in the 5th or 6th inning - that being said i like the pitching matchup.

The Rocket and Suppan - Velocity against Poise

"I was rooting for Sox all the way (Or rooting against the Yankees, whichever floats your boat)"

Sort of like the Middle East....

Never bet against Roger. He is one of those Hall of Fame guys who has amazing reserves in big games. I want to see him back in Fenway!

And thank you AL All Stars for the Home Field advantage....
