Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan
I used to advocate rule of law and supremacy of institutions....We all got carried away by the events of last few months and people like Imran made us dream.....candle light vigils were being used as a way of protesting.....people were putting flowers outside defiant judges residences.....we all believed Pakistani nation is now matured......can stand above the politics of religious/ethnic hate....
But all this was done by a few elite/educated class.....the masses in a matter of hours brought us back to reality......by setting ablaze everything which came in their way (big contrast to candle lights)....
People will continue to elect criminal and hate mongers.....they want people in power who can assisst them with their crimes.....thana kutchery stuff....no decent man has any chance of getting elected.....It's high time we should come back to reality.....
I am visiting China regularly for last 12 years and saw it transforming......their system is a big danda for trouble makers......I think is the only system for an over populated jahil population.....
Let's not get carried away by western democratic models.....all the guppers here come from educated/elite class who have lost touch with ground reality in Pakistan....
Maybe, but Pak has never worked with a danda... Mush tried danda in Balochistan and the situstion still hasnt settled.. He tried the same thing in Fata, and that didnt work either. He tried it against the Lawyers and the CJ and the country is still in turmoil... He might be able to stay in power by force, pur sukoon nahi milay gah...
Its easy to be a cynic when it comes to Pak offcourse, but there are only two paths to take.. One will lead to democracy and the rule of law, the other to anarchy, and the balkanization of the country... I dont think there is a middle path. Either one can come about eventually, so its still 50/50 chance.
