A woman becomes a victim of abduction and multiple rape …is recovered by the police and taken in care … becomes pregnant but cant have an abortion due to health reasons … is forced to go through the pregnancy .. the baby is born but she has no feelings for the baby … wants to give it up for adoption..
can a woman love a baby as her own in this case? she is told that its not the baby’s fault that she was raped why does she not love him, she says the baby keeps on reminding her of the animal and his deeds in those two days … she has been sent for counselling but she isnt able to subside the pain from the incident , neither can she bring herself to love the baby ..
Will she ever be able to love the baby as time passes? or you reckon its just going to screw up the baby’s life and its better for it to be adopted?
If its this bad then adoption is the way to go, atleast someone can love him/her. And maybe with not seeing the baby 24/7 she could cope a little better, because there will be less reminders.
well I saw a cat. I saw my SIL.
When cat had still born, and they were taken away; she started liking her kitten from previous birth.
Same way she would would have treated her new born. Remember she had given up liking those kitten since they were not so little.
You know there is some kind timing is set in us. At time of birth mother get that love/ MAMMTA running thourg her blood.I mean in every single drop.
I don;t think it has to do any thing with what her believes are.
zobia , the father of the baby is a convicted criminal and is in the lock up ... this girls mother tells us that she actually saw her talking to the baby during mid months of pregnancy .... hence she insists that the baby should be kept in the family's care until the girl is ready to accept it ... coz once the adoption goes through life might become very complicated for all parties involved if the girl decides to get back her baby...
so a careful decision has to be made at this point in time keeping all future prospects in mind.
drawing on my expertise from all the law and order SVU episodes i have watched, i would say it depends on the woman in question. if this were a hindi movie, stuff like PM and zobia are claiming would happen. but in the real world, there are moms that abandon newborns everyday and think of them as burdens/obstacles. hell, even normal women with loving husbands and families go thru post-partum depression and end up hating ther babies..
how do you know pal? maybe this mom would like the baby coz it looks like her mom or something of that sort. are you gonna tell her what to do with her kid now? who are you pal?
I am saying she don't have a choice but to love the baby!!!!!!
that love is force of nature!!!!!
Cant deny it.
Tum larkion ko bateen kerny ka itna shooq hota hy ky asel point over look ker deti ho
When your raped and tortured, the force of nature makes you hate everyone, everything, this world and whatever else. And this baby is the outcome of this rape, she WILL hate it!
I do not think there is anything like "give her time or more therapy," so maybe she can love the baby. Its not gonna happen.
If she was gonna love the baby she would have loved it when she held it for the first time right after birth!
i dont get your point, zobia. are you saying whores cant be loving moms? or that just because a person isnt a whore, she would automatically love her baby?
hmmm ... zobia the drama bit is what the girl's mother wants to do , she wants to keep the baby in the family out of the way of the girl until she feels ready or misses the baby and deals with her inner self to accept it..
Again some of the social care staff say this is wrong and shouldnt be done , the baby should either be accepted or given up for adoption ...
the idea i presented in post #7 was, whether she loves the baby or not will be cleared if the suggestion of giving the to father put forward in front of her.
and no it not some hindi film plot, its a real mother-child relationship.
otherwise as you mentioned there are many material mothers who left their child for the sake of money. if this dilemma wasnt a serious issue to the family and if the victim was of some loose charachter then CB wouldn't have questioned this here in a first place.
I guess that could work, but at the end of the day i feel like the baby is not being cared for in the proper manner .
It really needs to be in the hands of someone who is not gonna doubt their love towards it.
This is something she clearly will never forget, so how can she really not think of the rape when she looks at the child? I think for both the mothers and childs safty emotionally they do need to be separated, at least for the time being.
