im in my 3rd year at college doing health and social and i just got the electronic baby:mad3: as part of a child care topic.
Has anybody ever had one of these things, it makes such a noise more than an actual baby, my 10 month old cousin is easie to look after.
So anyway has anyone else had one and how did you manage?
Ever heard of that education product , used by many family studies program , **the Baby Think It Over **.
This yoke is designed to give youths or young adults the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about parenting. Use it…
And even for electronic babies … Go to life forum And becareful these electronic babies report the number of times each type of care was provided, as well as wrong positioning, rough handling, Shaken Baby Syndrome, and more…
So yr baby is watching ya
P.s: my exp is only upto making e-babies on facebook:LB:
wow u got it in college?
:)
I had the electronic baby my last year in high school..it was such a nuisance..and our health teacher took it too far. We had to dress it like a real baby (warm clothes in winter).....we had to have a carry sack or stroller...etc...to really feel the difficulties of having a baby. We also had this "key" attached to our right hand in way that if we removed it, teacher would know. Anyways when the doll cried we had to hold it in side position so that key on right hand can fit into back to make it stop crying!! I remember being so annoyed by waking up for 15 minutes non stop to make it stop crying. And Alyish is right, it had sensors that detected "child abuse"...if u hit or dropped it, it kept that in storage..even if u shook it..hehe and that would take away from the grade :(
Anyways I tried cheating. My doll had a box in the back with a velcro strap..i took it out to make it easier....but i forgot to keep the velcro flab OUT before putting it back in...so i got caught cheating!!! she took off like only 5 points for that...hehe....
I always wanted one of those babies..but too bad i only took a semester of child dev. class..and the baby was offered to kids taking it the whole yr..send it to me..i will take care of it.
we got ours in grade 8, so i'm surprised that you're getting it now in college.
guess it depends where you live.
anyways, ours wasn't an electronic baby. electronics weren't all that big back then, so we made do with sugar bags. now these are 2lb sugar bags, that you normally see at the grocery store.
so basically we had to carry these around like they were our kids, and had 'car seats' and 'clothing' for them also. there was a certain way we had to hold them..couldn't just drop them in our backpacks or throw 'em around. now as most of you know, those sugar bags leak very easily. so we had to be certain that we carried properly so that the bag wouldn't rip, or sugar wouldn't leak from the sides due to a tear.
anywho, imagine carrying that thing around for two weeks, pretending that it was your baby. carrying it around from class to class, and if the teacher found out that it had been left in your locker overnight, well then you just gave yourself a 'F grade :p
i felt sorry for the other grade 8 class though. they had to carry around eggs, in little baskets as their children. imagine having to ensure that it didn't crack in the two weeks in was in your care :D
Its a lot easier than being 10 and babysitting ur newborn sibling. I was able to change them (no diapers back then) and feed them, all by my lonesome self :)
